Chapter 5

As I sit at my assigned seat, a guy around my age takes a seat beside me.
"Hey" he says and I nod
"Hi" I say swiftly before averting my eyes back down to the letter in front of me
"I'm Landon" he says
"Cool, I don't care" I say
"Okay, hard to get type, I get it" he says
"How about not interested? Do you get that?" I ask
"You must've been trouble back at home so I'm guessing that's why you're headed to Chicago?" he asks and I press a button for assistance and quickly a flight attendant is here to assist.
"May I help you two?" she asks
"No we're fine" he says and she goes to walk away
"Actually we're not. He is a complete stranger and he is harassing me. Are there any free seats alone that I can switch to" I say
"I am doing no such thing" he says and I look to him
"I don't know you and I don't want to. You literally just sat down and started asking me intrusive questions to what? Try and get in my pants? Look Landon you seem like an alright guy. But I don't care. I just wanna get through this flight" I say
"I'll see if I can help you out. Just bare with this guy for five minutes is all I ask" she says and I nod before she walks away.
"Look I'm sorry, you just seemed like you needed someone to talk to" he says
"Yeah, that doesn't mean I wanna talk to a stranger" I say
"Miss we found a seat for you that you can move to. No one is assigned to the seat beside it so it's perfect" the flight attendant says
"Any extra costs?" I ask
"No honey of course not." she says
"Thank you so much" I say grabbing my bag, putting my letter inside, standing and making my way past Landon before following the flight attendant to my new seat
"See you 'round Princess" he says
"See you never loser" I say and I continue to follow her and she gestures to the free seat
"Thank you so so much, you're a life saver" I tell her
"Us girls gotta stick together" she says before walking off and I grab the letter from my bag and open it.

If you're reading this, than it means you know about the deal I've made with Malachai and you have chosen walk away from us permanently.
I'm so sorry for treating you this way, I needed you to do something so severe that you wouldn't think twice about walking away.
When Archie was arrested I wanted to tell you and back out of the whole deal. But I saw what Penny, Malachai and the rest of the Ghoulies did to Jughead and didn't want to think about what they would do to you, what he would do to you.

I hope that at some point in life we'll find our way back to one another and maybe you'll be able to forgive me and find a way to trust me again. And if I am ever granted that pleasure I will make sure that you won't regret it. I have never once doubted the amount of strength you have Lily, nor have I ever seen you as weak. I'm the one who is weak because I couldn't bare to carry on the rest of my life if you ever died, especially if I could've prevented it.

I'm so sorry for the pain I caused you and I understand if you never want to see or hear from me again and if your heart stops loving me, I'll understand that too. But my heart will forever be yours and I will always love you Lilyana Andrews and I don't think anyone or anything could change that.

I don't notice I'm crying until I notice the flight attendant brings my attention back to her
"You alright?" she asks
"Honestly? No. I don't think I'm ever gonna fall in love again" I say to her
"To be so young and even fall in love once is a very hard thing to deal with and heartbreak never gets easier. But you know it was real for him if even through all the hurt and heartbreak, all he wants is to protect you and make sure you're being looked after even if it's not by him" she says and I nod
"Thank you so much" I say
"Anytime honey" she says

CHICAGO AIRPORT

I get off the plane and I look at my phone to see a photo Toni took of Sweet Pea and I at the Wyrm that I haven't brought myself to take off my lock screen.

FLASHBACK

I'm standing against the pool table with a pool cue in one of my hands, Sweet Pea and I are playing pool against one another. It's Sweet Pea's turn so I walk around the pool table to him and wrap my arms around his waist.
"What are you doing?" he asks
"Loving you. Take the shot" I say and as he pulls his arm back I start to palm him through his jeans making him miss. I move around the table to take my shot and he chuckles.
"Cheeky" he says
"I love you" I say and he laughs as I take my shot to try and win the game, sinking my final ball and I look up at him. He walks over to me and traps me between him and the pool table both of us smiling at each other and both of his arms around my waist and my other hand is tangled in his hair while his forehead is pressed against mine. I then see a flash and look to see Toni with her phone in hand and I shake my head before looking back to Sweet Pea and bringing his lips to mine

FLASHBACK OVER

"Lily" I hear my mom and only then do I look up and notice the tears and we head to her house where we get me ready for some time in Chicago
