As Pa drove down the rough, caliche road, I could already smell the barn. I had been here numerous times before, but this time I will be living here. Great. What more could a city girl want than to be waking up to the sweet smell of cow crap? You might be wondering why I have to live here.... Well, my dad just got transferred over seas, and the only person that could be trustworthy enough to take care of me is my grandfather, Pa. (Awesome right? yeah No).
Pa pulled up next to the house. "Alrighty Amy, welcome to Petlie Farms, the most beautiful ranch in town!" I even hated the SOUND of it.
I slowly walked on the creaky floorboards inside the house to go to my room. It was a small, dusty area, but it didn't bother me, and it's probably the only thing that doesn't.
