That day taehyung left his apartment earlier than usual. This was the day he would get a job. At this rate, he won't have enough money to eat, which isn't good.
He never did a proper job, the closest thing he did was maybe washing the mess his father created after work when they still had some kind of good relationship.

To say the truth, before his stepmother arrival they got along well, taehyung was the loving type of child he would always hug his father when he came home as if he is some kind of way recharged his father after a long day of work.

At first, he didn't mind it at all, but then he found a fiancee, and so it all went downhill. No more hugs. No more cuddles. No more attention. No more praises. Nothing at all.

Then time passed, the two of them got married and had children. Which is, from what taehyung says, the only thing that woman did properly. But to tell all of the truth, at first taehyung, didn't like either of them. Being compared or treated as the unwanted child wasn't his cup of the. Their parents didn't help either. Every time one of his siblings did something the culprit would be the older. 'you should have stopped them.', they said, 'Isn't that your job as a parent?'. Taehyung wondered if being a parent was that easy. He could have been an amazing father, doing what no other ever did to him. Being good to him.

Anyway, as his first job ever taehyung decided for a part-time in a café near his apartment complex. Something like 15 minutes by foot or so.

He finally entered the door and got to the counter to greet the owner. After a small talk, he was ready to start. Mr. Oh showed him some basic stuff as how to make a coffee or a sandwich. And from that day onwards he started working after school.

One day after school jungkook asked his hyung if he could take him home. And taehyung panicked. 'no one should know where I work. It would make me look pathetic! What would he think if he knew? Would he be worried about me? No no, he would think I'm stupid. We all know his family is wealthy, perhaps he would think I'm poor and don't want him to be friends with someone in my situation?', a lot of stupid thoughts dancing in the older mind. He actually he knew jungkook wouldn't care at all. But he wanted to be strong in his eyes. After all, he's older than him.

"Oh myy, I just remembered! I have some after class! Hahaha... I really should be able to attend, you know I'm not the best at math!" and he ran. As if there's no tomorrow. Meanwhile, the younger stood here, a bit confused, ' since when did he attend those classes? Wasn't I enough good to be a teacher?' and like that, he walked away still confused and now sad for not being enough to his hyung.

Taehyung ran all the way to the bus stop, normally he would go by foot, but right now he was in a rush, pretty late to go by foot. Taken the bus he was near the café but he still had some way to go, and so he ran again. Probably he never ran as much in his entire life, but he cannot for any reason in the world lose his job. Not right now.

The boy ran into the door instantly falling on the knees apologizing for his late arrival. When a guy with red hair and a smile on the face politely asked him to get up. "wait, where's Mr. Oh?", the younger of the two asked, "he didn't say anything to you?" the other with a sad face replied, "I'm his nephew, I worked here before, but then applied for another job, now he needs help and I came here to work again." he said while helping taehyung get up on his feet. "so he's not here??", the other replied with a nod, taehyung was relieved, he jumped happily to the counter and wore his uniform.

" Oh! I forgot, I'm Kim Taehyung, nice to meet you!" he said with his usual boxy smile.

"Byun Baekhyun, nice to meet you" he replied back with another smile.
