I patted my cheeks lightly as I looked over to my mirrored reflection, taking in my outfit for the day.

I did light make-up, a touch of base and a bit of mascara. Also adding on some pink lipstick that matched quite nicely with the outfit. I decided to leave my hair down naturally, not really wanting to spend too much time on myself.

I then headed to the kitchen where I decided to go simple and settle for a bowl of cereal. I looked up as I saw Edward walk into the room, all dressed and ready to go.

Awww.....he always looks handsome with bed hair

I stifled a giggle as I watch him walk over to the cupboards and help himself to breakfast.

"Morning, dork" I say teasingly, causing him to throw a glare my way.

"Morning, pain in the a-"

"NO BAD LANGUAGE MISTER!"

"I WAS GONNA SAY ANT"

"LIKE HELL YOU WERE!!!"

"HEY! YOU USED A BAD WORD! WHY CANT I?!"

"BECAUSE I'M OLDER"

My brother and I continue to banter with each other, each enjoying it, although to stubborn to admit it.

"So, do you know when they are gonna be home this time?" I look up and see Edward chasing his cereal around in his bowl with his spoon.

I sighed, getting off my chair and rinsing my dishes.

"I have no idea....you know what they are like, one minute they won't leave us alone long enough to let us breath, and sometimes we don't see them in ages" I say as I turn around and lean against the counter.

"Yeah.... I know.... Its just that, I don't know.... Are all of them like this?" He asks, his voice cracking a bit.

"Awe, Edward, no...." I reach out to him and pull him into a hug, as I rest my chin on his head and continued, "most parents aren't like this... I know that probably makes our situation a little bit harder, but you know what? I will always be here to look after you? Okay?"

".... Alright... If you say so," he mumbles before letting me go, saying that he's gonna be late for school if he doesn't leave soon.

I stand there for a few moments, thinking about how feeble my parents can be. I shake my head slightly before gathering my thoughts and all my necessities for school. I head out and begin my walk.

At school

I walked along the corridors, slowly making my way to my locker since I was a few minutes early.

I decided to just stand in the corner, blocking me from view of others while playing a mobile game.

A few minutes after failing miserably, I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

I flicked my head slightly in the direction I assumed the person to be standing.
"Hmm?"

"Y/N....why'd you leave yesterday?" A familiar deep voice purred into my ear, causing shivers to run freely throughout my body.

I stiffened as I felt his chest press against my back. I quickly shoved my phone in my pocket and tried to walk away, only to be pulled back. This time I came face to face with him, making sure I don't look at his face.

"Uh....listen, yesterday can't um, well, it can't happen again...I have a boyfriend and foxes and wolves are enemies....." I nervously splutter out random excuses to escape the situation.
