Y/N was surprised. Actually, she was impressed. She was impressed with herself. It's been a few days since she saw Harry at work and she was impressed at herself that she came into work each day after. Y/N knew she was going to run into Harry again one day. Maybe in the next week. Next month. Or even in the next year. But she didn't let that possibility ruin her life.
Y/N was pretty sure the worst possible thing that could happen to her was becoming an actual assistant to Harry. Y/N didn't worry about that possibility really because she didn't think that scenario would occur. Most big clients such as Harry have permanent assistants, which meant there was a less of a chance they would need a new or temporary one. Besides if a big client needed a temporary assistant, it would be likely be an assistant who has been working for years and Y/N was new. New, as in working in firms and being an assistant for those who just entered the Hollywood business. Y/N had no reason to worry, at least she thought she did.
She opened the door to Jeffery's office, walking into the room.
"You wanted me?" Y/N asked him.
"Yeah" Jeff said. "Have a seat"
Y/N sat down in the chair in front of his desk. She crossed her legs.
"What's up?" Y/N asked him. "Did I mess up on the papers I handed in the other day?"
"No, no" Jeff said, shaking his head at her.
"I have good news for you"
Y/N raised her eyebrow at him, being surprised. Good news could mean anything in this industry.
"You're promoted" Jeff said, smiling at her.
Y/N faked a smile at him, pretending to be grateful.
"Promoted?" Y/N asked, using a surprised tone. "To what?"
"Executive Assistant" Jeff said. "That means-"
"Executive?" Y/N asked Jeff, cutting him off.
Y/N's cheeks reddened upon hearing the word. Y/N couldn't be an executive. It takes years to become an executive assistant. Jessie, who was had more work in being an assistant than Y/N wasn't even an executive. Frankly, Y/N had no idea what executive assistants do because she never had the experience. She thought she would be promoted to administration assistant at most. If she were, she would have some idea what the hell she was doing.
"Yeah" Jeff said. "I know it's a big jump but you have a great record of reviews and I think being an executive would be a good suit for you"
Yeah, reviews from d list stars maybe. Y/N thought.
"I'm sorry but, why me?" Y/N asked Jeff. "I mean, I am thankful for you considering me, but I don't think I'm that . . . qualified?"
Jeff laughed at her uncertainty.
"Listen, if I were you, I would try it for a day or two" Jeff told her. "And if you don't like it, I'll move you to being an administrative"
"Really?" Y/N said to Jeff.
"Yeah" He answered her. "Just give it a try. I wouldn't let this opportunity pass without trying it if I were you"
Y/N nodded her head, wondering how she would feel taking the position. Y/N knew being an executive required more responsibility and energy but it paid more. Y/N could only decide if she had some experience. Maybe a few days could be enough experience for her.
