Chapter 2

It was really cold the next day, it was almost 10 degrees out I'm telling you whoever wasn't cold that morning was crazy but I had to get used to the weather

"This is no longer 80 degrees in the morning like it used to be in Miami now it's like a freezer," I said to myself while I waited for the bus.

That temperature had me shaking so much, I wasn't used to it yet.

"Hey, good morning Angelique" came Alan out of nowhere and gave me his jacket since he saw I was cold and pale. From a distance, I saw Amanda walking toward us but she was smiling and looking at Alan I thought for a second this two were up to something.

' I don't know why I felt that maybe it was the way they looked at each other I thought for a second they had something going on that I didn't know of. "Hi guys how are my two best people this wonderful morning," said Amanda with a big smile, Wonderful? I thought I was freezing my butt off out here! , but she's been here longer than I have so I guess she was used to it.

"Wonderful! Are you crazy Amanda it's too damn cold" I said giggling, she tapped my shoulder and said "You'll see, you will get used to it in no time then you'll see it how I see it" I saw the bus approaching us, Thank god! I thought my hands were almost purple from all that time I was there just waiting.

We all sat at the back of the bus like always and started talking but this time there was something weird, Amanda and Alan were looking at each other different I didn't know why but that thought I had on my mind of them having something on the low key was obvious, I mean they weren't like this yesterday or any other day that I know of. I plugged my headphones into my phone and started listening to music and thinking is what I did best, I could do other things but this is what I did when I had nothing to do, as we got closer to the school I started thinking even more.

"What will today's nightmare be?" I whispered to myself Amanda was next to me so she faced towards me and as she saw my lips weren't moving she turned back to Alan thinking it was just voices in her head.

As we waited outside the school till the bell rang I stood staring at people and having visions I wasn't feeling good that morning, I was feeling kind of, like dizzy I don't know if it was the temperature, it was 8:00 when the bell rang and as soon as I walked into class you can already imagine what was going on, Dennise was already looking at me with a look that said "I want you dead". Mrs. Claire had work for us on the board, so I grabbed my book and started the chapter she had assigned. I felt someone trying to get my attention and when I looked to my left someone did try to get my attention, it was Alan "Here take this, read it" he whispered, it was a note.

-Hey there's a dance on Friday Amanda and I are going and we were wondering if you would want to join us?

-Alan

Were they about to confess to me that they were something I didn't know of? Well even if they were is none of my business, Alan was waiting on a reply but it took me a bit to answer I didn't know what to say, I wasn't a big fan of going out you know, so I made an excuse until I made my mind up about it.

-I will have to ask my mother first Alann I don't really like to leave the house but we'll see what she has to say thanks for telling me though.

I wrote that on the same piece of paper and gave it to him as he read it he winked at me and whispered "Okay gotcha". I started doing my work again I was almost done it was only 10 questions on the chapter that we had been assigned about the organs in our body and how all of them are important for us to be alive.
