Vengeance

Chapter 7

The week passed by and Friday came, I was one of the students who had the highest grade on the project, even though no one actually believed in me, one day I started noticing I was getting sick every 2 weeks and I was getting high fevers most of the time, temperatures that wouldn't even go down with cold water. The weeks went by fast and the day of my birthday arrived. 

"Happy birthday darling" my mom came into my room with my favorite breakfast, waffles with Nutella and a side of eggs too with a cup of coffee.

I smiled "Thanks ma" I wasn't really happy that it was my birthday, as a matter of fact, I hated my birthday with all my soul when did that happen? When I was only 5 years old.

I wasn't feeling too well either, I started noticing my hair was falling off but not as much I really wasn't paying attention to that since it had happened to me before. Alan came over with Amanda she brought me pretty clothes and Alan he brought me this cute teddy bear and a pretty necklace with his name and mine on it, we all spent the evening at my house having a little party but with basics, movies, dancing, and all those stuff, this was one of the best birthdays I've had, my other birthdays I only spent them with my mother and brothers while my dad was out with hookers and getting drunk and each night will end up the same, with arguments.

Months passed and finally we were just 1 week away from promotion, I was proud of myself, even though I was new at that school I always had my grades A's and B's and only C+ in math, it's not really my favorite subject.

Alan and I were now almost 4 months together and he still did not change like the other boyfriends I've had. I wasn't planning to go to promotion I didn't like to walk in front of people, I just hated it so much, so I decided to ask for my promotion paper instead of going, either way, what was the point my mother had to work and she wasn't gonna be there and I had no other family member close to me. I started thinking how high school would be like, it will be now a harder level, they told me that when I got to high school a lot of things would change, but what kinds of change? Later on that Wednesday afternoon, I received a message, it was Federico.

-Boss, please answer we really need to start preparing you for what's about to happen soon.

I ignored the message, I didn't really care time had passed and nothing happened, what was I going to worry about I knew since the beginning this was all a setup when nothing happened that afternoon, just a broken window and a note attached to a rock.

"It's whatever I guess," I said to myself, that day we had a substitute teacher turns out to be Mrs. Claire wasn't feeling alright and everyone had been done with the papers she assigned us, well some of us, meanwhile the ones who were done were on their phones. For the past couple of months, I haven't seen Dennise and I started wondering what happened to her, so I asked Amanda.

"Hey, um-what happened to Dennise, I know she had court and all that for trying to kill you and-" there Amanda interrupted as she laughed.

"Girl you had to be there, no one could believe what had happened to that poisonous snake," she said, 

"She got moved to this kind of special school and her dad took the blame for her!" I was amazed of what I just had heard, I don't think my own mother would take the blame for me if she knew I did something wrong and I had to face consequences, the Alan joined out of nowhere as he sat next to me grabbing my hand.

"It's true I was there, I mean come on, everyone in town knows that Dennise was the devil ever since she got abandoned by her own mother, everyone thinks that's why she is the way she is," he said looking at Amanda and me.

"Her dad said that the drink was supposed to be for one of the co-workers at his job he wanted to get rid of, and the judge sentenced him 50 years of jail," she said serious.
