You thanked the bus driver for the ride before giving him 10 dollars you stole from Moira. He smiled back at you and you jumped off the bus, looking around the dark neighborhood.

It was probably around 4ish right about now, and everyone in the town was asleep.

You walked down the pavement, staring at the dimmly lit houses, you vaguely remembered them from whenever you came to visit your aunt and your cousin.

Your aunt and you were decently close, your mom hated her sister, so you barely ever saw her. But you still kept in contact with your cousin, she was so sweet, you loved your cousin. She was debateibly the nicest human being on the face of the earth. You hoped she still lived with your aunt, you'd love to see her, the last time you saw her was over 3 years ago.

Life was so simple back then, you were such a normal kid.

All until you decided to move to Nepal after you finished college. You just needed to get away, so you chose to study plants in the high mountains. You knew one day you'd return with your finished research and put it in a book or something, but you didn't think you'd return like this.

After a 10 minute walk, you stopped in front of the familar small house of your aunt.

You slowly walked past the white fence gate. You climbed up the grey stone stairs to the front porch. You lifted up the top of the porch light and pulled out their spare key that was hidden, that's where they always hid it.

Groggily, you put the key in and turned it, slowly opening the door. You took out the key and put it back where you found it, then stepped in and closed the door behind you.

As soon as you shut the door, you heard few quiet, quick footsteps.

"Emily?" You whispered, looking around the darkness. "Aunt Carol?"

Silence hung in the air, the footsteps stopped and the only sound left was you quiet breaths.

All out of a sudden, a bright flash of blue came into your vision. Followed by the appearance of a silhouette of a girl illuminated by a bright light on her chest. She held a gun towards your head.

You stopped breathing, staring at the gun. You first thought was, Talon found me.. they must've figured out this is where my family lived.

"H-hey, please put the gun down, we can both walk away and pretend like nothing happened." You whispered, putting your hands up.

The girl narrowed her eyebrows at you, "No way. Sorry, luv. But if you are wanted, my job is to turn you in."

You gulped nervously, you couldn't go back to Moira, you just couldn't. "P-please, it doesn't need to go down like this. I don't know anything, I can't tell them the answer they want, I gave them all the information I know." You begged.

"That doesn't change anything, I wouldn't be able to live knowing that I let a criminal walk away!" You looked at her confused.

Criminal!? Is that was Talon soldiers see me as?

"Y/n?" A soft voice called from down the hallway, you bould barely see her frame in the dark. "Emily? Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" You asked, wondering if Talon had gotten to your family.

She stepped a bit closer, "Of course I'm fine, and who would-." She looked at the Talon soldier pointing a gun at you, "Babe, what's going on..?"

You looked at Emily and back at the Talon soldier, confused. "Babe..?" You arched an eyebrow, "You're dating a Talon soldier?"

"Talon?" The girl exclaimed, "No, no.. I'm not in Talon.. but.. are you not a robber?"

You shook your head, "Of course not, I'm Emily's cousin." She gave you an 'oh' look, and dropped the gun to her side. "Sorry.."

"It's fine." You responded quietly.

Emily flicked on the lights, you had to blink a few times to get used the old light.

In the light you could fully see the girl in front of you, she had dark brown, short hair, and warm brown eyes. She was rather tiny, and quite skinny, yet you could tell she was fit.

"Well.. it's nice to meet you,-.. uh.." she extended her hand, "Y/n, my name is Y/n." You shook her hand and smiled, she returned the smile back, "I'm Lena."

"Y/n," Emily walked towards you, "Are you ok? Because, one, why are you here? And two, no offense, but you look terrible. You look like you haven't slept or seen the sun in days."

She looked at you with concerned eyes, anyone could look at you and know something was wrong.

You gulped nervously, not being able to let out the words somehow, "I-it's.. a long story.." you muttered. Emily looked at Lena, asking for help, making Lena look at you.

"Y/n.. why did you think I was a Talon soldier?.. you're not running from Talon, are you?"

You were silent for a long moment, until you slowly nodded.

"Oh dear.." Emily breathed out, covering her mouth with her hand. Lena gave you a worried glare before speaking, "I guess I'll ask you more about it later.. you should sleep, you look like you need it."

You nodded your head in gratitude, getting smile back from Lena. Emily took you by the hand and lead you upstairs, bringing you to the guest room.
