I don't know how long I've been here...in a room, swept with filth and dust. The furniture was old, ripped and smelled horrendous . I ate only hairy small animals and drank from the white tattered sky. I don't remember how I got here, I don't know who I stand. I'm always trying to survive because I want to leave this room and someday I will. I really don't know how to escape, there is no door. But there is a window and it's barricaded with a hard sticks  I cannot get bend. Over many suns and moons I have seen my red wavy hair, although it's a bit tangled and rough.

I held a sharp point above a hairy animal I caught under the cloth i use to cover myself at night. You have to know what is good to eat and not, so everything that isn't organ is good to eat. I ate it with no remorse, because when you eat an animal for a long time you get used to it.

Something bashed on the wall where my sleeping area is. It hit again, and again. It kept on  thumping until the wall broke apart; I looked at the outside world with aw.

It was bigger than looking out of the window. Then I noticed that there was a tall, muscular and very strange person standing by smiling. Who is he smiling at? Me? I left my spot and felt nervous when I got outside, the man came up to me and bowed. "Good morning lady Eve. I am Prince Gray's servant Rile; he called upon you to come to the palace" Rile said. Who is 'Grey'? What's a 'prince'?

"Why?" I said

"The reason will be told by the prince himself" he said while showing me a moving machine.

"But I don't know things about me or him", he looks at me and smiles. "Don't worry about that'' he smiled.

I trust him. I don't understand why, but I do. During the ride to the palace he kept on talking to me about Gray, how funny he is, how he is kind, so on. I can't believe I got out of that room, for so many empty days and nights I'm finally free!!!

"So Lady Eve, how old are you?" he asked, how old am I? Is this needed?

"I-I don't really know." I stuttered with curiosity, his eyes went from the top to the bottom.

"Well you look like around 17, it's just a hunch" he shrugged off. 17? The car stopped slowly. "We have arrived" Rile announced cheerily.

I can't wait, but neither can I feel brave enough to take my chance.
