Arriving back to the headquarters, Lucas and his team prepared to get back in action. Knowing full-well of the threats they would be faced against soon. He didn't know what more to expect other than danger, bloodshed and perhaps innocent lives in danger. Auburn also got ready, FaceTiming™ her kids as she did. Meadows put on her socks and heavy boots, knowing they were about to go in action soon. Hunter then spoke to his ex-girlfriend Kayla as she got on Skype™.

"Are you okay?" said Hunter.

"Yes, I am! You?" said Kayla.

"More than ever!"

"Nicholas, I just wanted you to know, it's not your fault. You reported Samantha back in 2021 and got her fired from Walmart. But you did the right thing!"

"Did I? What makes you say that?"

"I understand she was my friend, but she has no right to misbehave with you, when you were shopping there. She recently got arrested."

"What happened?"

"She was busted, as the police, DEA and narcotics division raided her vehicle, and found $50,000,000 worth of weapons-grade cocaine and heroin!"

"Shit! I kinda figured she was bad news."

"They sentenced her to fifteen years of rigorous imprisonment."

"She got exactly what she deserved, and even if I didn't report her, two years ago; she'd lose her job to automation anyways."

"Yeah! I'm sorry for breaking up with you."

"Don't be! I'd have done the same thing, if I were you and I didn't know the whole story." Hunter said as Kayla began to shed tears. "Please don't cry, I need you now and even more than ever! Especially when I'm going to save the world."

"I know, I just wanted you to know, I've been taking my medicines and been keeping my mood calm just for you."

"I'm proud of you, Kayla! I love you!"

"I love you too!"

"I've got to leave in a few minutes, just be safe."

"Sure thing, just promise me to come home alive!"

"I promise!"

Hunter ended the call, prepared himself and got moving. Auburn and Meadows also followed suit. As they went towards their commanding officer, they looked around and observed as there were drones flying above the room, patrolling the facility, as well as cleaner robots and other endeavors.

"I should get this for my household, so no one needs to constantly get up to clean the kitchen or take out the trash anymore." Auburn declared.

"I gifted Kayla something like that on Christmas!" said Hunter.

"What exactly was that?" said Meadows, being curious.

"It was just a robotic vacuum cleaner. So, she didn't have to clean much."

"Well, you're a good man!"

"Am I? Thank you!"

"Hey, guys!" said Spade, as she also joined them. The team returned her greeting.

"Alright, we're here!"

Lucas then walked up towards the crew. They saluted him, as he returned the salute. It was then when Nebula appeared with another U.S. Army Officer walking alongside her, who seemed to be in his early-fifties. Tango Carlson saluted the major general as she came.
