"What do you mean you lost him?!" I shouted, "Find him!"

"Guards, search the street. The Prince of Peace must be found!" My father slammed his fist on the table.

"Father, you don't need to worry, I'll handle this," I said.

"He's your fiance, but that makes him my son in law. He holds this kingdom's future with you. I don't know if you'll ever fall in love like this twice. Hardly anyone feels the same affection twice," father explained.

"I doubt he was kidnapped," I looked at the map.

"What makes you think that?"

"Sonic has a habit of running away. And Blaze is gone."

PoV: Sonic

"Blaze, you were pretty quiet when that guy came up to me. Your normally, Don't go near his majesty, and stuff," I handed Blaze a pastery.

"I planned to interfere of he attempted to touch you. I know how you wish to keep your identity secret in public."

"That was sweet of you," I smiled.

"Whose that?"

"I don't know, but look at the armor. They're from the Kingdom of Peace."

"Why would they send a knight? The peace treaty was already signed."

"At the lose of our prince."

"I'll give the piece of my mind."

"No you idiot."

"Hey," a guy walked up to me, "Do you know what you're Kingdom had done?"

"Please back away," Blaze stepped in this time. The man had aggression written all over him, "Any closer and I will engage myself."

"You cause our Prince to leave. Our kingdom is now vulnerable!" He yelled at us, "The Kingdom of Peace only cares about itself!"

"Stand down citizen!" King Dark's army found me.

"Looks like the fun is over," I sighed.

"Why are you defending him?" The man asked.

"By order of the king. We protect him," the chef replied.

"What?" He backed away, "Why?"

"The announcement will be made. For now, just wait."

They took me back to the castle. Shadow grabbed me the second he saw me.

"Where were you?" He sounded mad.

"I went to explore the Kingdom. I'm sorry, I should have told you. I just didn't was people treating me differently because I'm a Prince, sorry," I apologized and Shadow pulled me into a hug.

"You need to start letting me know where you're going," he squeezed me.

"I will," Sneaking out has become my habit. I'll need to break it, I don't want Shadow worrying like this.

"Now, guards," His majesty, Dark, turned to the guard who brought me back, "How did none of you spot Sonic leaving the palace walls?" They remained quiet, afraid of the King's wrath, "You will be disciplined for this."

"Your majesty wait. It's not their fault," I stopped Dark and Shadow grabbed me.

"Don't," Shadow said, "He'll punish them either way. Besides, some extra training will improve our forces."

"But they're still be unjustly punished from my doing," I felt horribly guilty, I never felt that way with father.

"Sonic, they're soilders. They'll be fine. And, we still need to announce our engagemen," Shadow kissed my ring finger.

"Well, atleast have the soilders given desert tonight. As an apology from me," I asked.

"You're too kind."

"Sire," a knight stood, "Permission to speak?"

"Permission granted," his majesty was still upset.

"What is the boys relationship with the Prince?" He asked.

"Sonic is no boy. He is the Prince of the Peace Kingdom," Dark answered.

"Forgive us your Majesty. We will keep a closer eyes on the Prince of Peace."

"Dismissed."

"As you wish Sire."

"Your majesties," a group of maids walked up to us, "Its time to get dressed."

"Dressed?" I asked.

"Sonic, the ceremonial engagement," Shadow reminded me.

"Right, I knew that."

We were taken to different room. A gown was waiting for me.

"Forgive us your Majesty, but we don't have a second ceremonial wear for a Prince. We assumed his Majesty, Shadow, would be marrying the Princess of the North. So the gown was made."

"Was it arranged?" I asked.

"No, so the gown is adjustable, with some stitches here and there," the maid answered, "Shadow's dresswear was made this year, to fit his current size."

"I don't mind the gown. Shadow said they make me look pretty," I touched the fine silk of the black gown.

"We will make a few adjusts as we go," a maid had me undress to my under garments and Stand on a step, "For now, let's prepare."
