{Dianne}
"That's it, can you believe they're over?"

Walking out of the hall after the final physics exam is the best feeling in the world. Who'd have though that they'd make you do such stressful things at sixteen?!

"I still feel like I have to come in tomorrow and sit in there. I'm so glad I don't."

Joe joins his hand with mine and pulls me towards my flat; the opposite direction to Emelie's nursery.

"Joe..."

"I know Dianne I know, but it's been ages since we've had a child free weekend. Don't give me that look, you know I love her to pieces. Just hear me out, okay. Byron's having a party tonight. His parents are out of town and he's decided to throw a bash, so I told my mum and together we organised this okay. Mum's having Emelie and we're going to the party, the nursery know and everything is sorted. And my mother says she won't take no for an answer. Plus... have you drunk since becoming a package deal?"

I thinks for a minute.

"The odd bit, not much."

"Exactly, you can drink tonight. Have fun and let your hair down. You know as well as I do that you want to."

"Fine."

The corners of my mouth pull up into a wide smile. It's been a while since we've both done anything with our friends, it's going to be the perfect way to celebrate our exams being over.

{Joe}

"Joe can you do this up for me please."

"Course I can love."

Looking up I see Dianne standing in front of me in an almost too short black dress, which hugs her figure perfectly.

"What, what is it..."

She looks at me and then down at her stomach.

"...you can tell can't you. I knew I should've tried to work it off a little more. Let me go change."

As she turns to walk out I grab her wrist,

"It's not that Dianne. You can't tell, at all. You look absolutely stunning. I was just thinking that I'm going to have to keep an eye on you in there, what with so many teenage boys with alcohol in them. They just need to remember that you're not up for grabs."

"You know, it's cute when you're protective Joe."

"Just protective, not over-protective?"

I ask as I spin her round to do her dress up.

"No, you're not over-protective. You're just right. I get to see how much you care, but also get to see that you trust me."

As I finish zipping her dress up I plant a kiss at the base of her neck, before turning her back around to face me.

"Good."

Standing on her tiptoes she kisses me slowly, then runs off to get something. When she emerges again she's finished her outfit out with a pair of black heels and a bright red lip, looking even more gorgeous than before. Her lightly curled red hair falls around her shoulders. Effortless.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer."

"Okay."

Just as I take it she pulls a stupid face, making us both collapse into fits of giggles.

"Come on let's go get drunkkk."

"Joe..."

"Okay okay let's go and have a few drink but remain sensible like the responsible parents that we are."
