Water. Deep dark water. It's a beautiful mysterious thing. I got lost in the cool refreshing ocean. Pools of endless love and support. The marvelous ocean blue never ceased to amaze me. Although it wasn't mine and I belonged to the cold dark sky. The sea had saved me from not only the sky, but myself as well. So full of life how could I possibly forget it.
Waving excitedly when it sees me, almost running to meet me. How could anyone destroy something so gentle? Only ever angry when the storm is near. It cares deeply about those who try to cross, protecting them from the storm. Even if that embrace that was supposed to save them from the sky. People fear it and leave it all alone, to speak and play with the few who truly trust it.
Although it may seem cold at first, the ocean always finds ways to warm up to you. As serious as the sea can be, it is one of the most playful things I've ever met. I sat by its side through everything; laughing and smiling until the very end. So many times where I nearly gave up, but it never let me. It held me close and sheltered me from the storms.
The ocean is my greatest escape and my happiest place, but the pain when my trip is over is almost too much to bear. I wait for the day when I can live there with a house on the beach never straying too far from my beloved ocean.
The hard part about loving the blue giant is that everyone is right there too, trying their hardest to get their time with it. Even though it'll never be mine, I can't help but long for those marvelous days in the sand with the waves washing over my skin.
