A woman in a dark scrappy coat rushed down the dimly lit streets of Endeavor, it was the middle of the night. The Woman carried with her a bundle that she held to her chest protectively as she rushed down the cobblestone roads. She held back tears that threatened to pour as she paused to catch her breath she looked down at the bundle lovingly.
An infant barely three weeks old gazed up at her mother with innocent (e/c) eyes. Unknowing of the cruel world she was a part of.
"Oh my darling daughter, how I wish things were different" the woman choked out quietly.Once she arrived at the back door of the palace she laid her precious cargo on the front steps, she pulled a small note from her breast pocket and placed it with the bundle. She kissed her child or the forehead before whispering one last goodbye, and disappearing into the night.
As soon as the child's mother left, a babies crying could be heard on the steps. This went on for about thirty seconds before a middle aged woman in servants clothing, opened the door angrily, ready to reprimand whoever was causing the commotion. But before she yelled a string of curses, here eyes filled with worry as she noticed the bundle at her feet. She knelt down and cradled the baby in her arms. She looked around hoping to find the owner of the child but figured they were long gone.
"Poor thing..." she mumbled looking down at the child, her eyes softened at the child, who had now stopped crying and was gazing up at the woman with curious (e/c) orbs. The woman shifted her gaze from the infant to the note that had laid next to the bundle. She gently cradled the child as she read...Dear whomever discovered my child—
Before you cast her out please read a mother's plea.
Due to unfortunate circumstances of my child being magic-less, I feared my child would be cast out, or most probably killed as a disgrace to the family... So I was forced to take her away, though I could not care for her myself for they would surely find me and thus put my daughter in danger. This way they will think she is simply missing, and maybe she can live a peaceful life... a life I could never give her...whomever is reading this, I beg of you, care for her the way I could not.
Her name is (y/n).
-the motherThe woman sighed and folded the letter back up. She looked back to the child, and gave in, she had a soft spot for children. With a weak smile, she walked back inside with the infant cradled in her arms.
"Welcome home (y/n)" she mumbled as she walked in. All the other servants looked up, a little blonde haired boy walked up to her
"Whatcha got there Miss Kio??" He asked curiously tugging on the woman's skirt
"A new member of the family Toyama, meet (y/n) your new little sister." The woman smiled kneeling down so the child could see.————————————————————————
Five years later. . .Kio, knelt by (y/n)'s feet and helped her lace her boots. Then helped straighten out her little brown dress. The little girl fidgeted with her thumbs, lost in thought.
"Now remember (y/n) Toyama is sick today so you have to clean a little extra all right" Kio instructed firmly. The little girl snapped out of her thoughts and nodded furiously, she was determined to do her best for her big bro, well not really her big brother, But he basically was at this point. All of the servants were a great big family, if it takes a village then that was (y/n)'s village.
"Yes Miss Kio!! I'll do my best!!" The young her exclaimed shoving her bro in the air triumphantly. Kio deadpanned at her enthusiasm.
"Alright alright just get out of here before I kick you out" Kio rolled her eyes as the young girl zoomed out.
"Oh (y/n) what I'm I going to do with you"
Kio watched as the young magic-less girl disappeared across the courtyard to begin her duties .An hour later
(Y/n) had gotten a lot done, well, a lot considering she was five years old... she walked down the large extravagant hallways of the palace, she hummed a small tune to herself, not paying any particular attention to anything. The small girl went to round a corner when she collided with someone.
"Ouch!" (Y/n) exclaimed as she was knocked down. She looked up to see a boy, about her age, who had red and white hair, split down the. middle and the most mesmerizing heterochromatic eyes. Before she could say anything the young boys eyes widened.
"I-I'm sorry! Are you hurt??" The boy exclaimed, worriedly helping her up.
The girl smiled sheepishly,
"Oh yea I'm fine don't worry about it" she waved her hand dismissively, after brief moment (y/n) realized something.
"Hey, your prince Todoroki right!?" She asked excitedly pointing her finger. The young boy was a little taken back by her sudden outburst, but responded.
"Y-yea that's me" He smiled a little bit, shifting awkwardly
(Y/n)'s eyes sparkled in admiration
"wooow! I've never met a prince before!" She giggled in awe.
"Wanna be friends???" She asked suddenly.
Todoroki was confused.
"Friends??" He asked tilting his head
"Yea!" She smiled brightly
"You know, like two people who have fun together, and look out for each other no matter what!" The girl exclaimed with bright eyes. Todoroki's eyes widened, he'd never had a "friend" before, is father never mentioned such things, he rarely got to see his mother anymore, but from what it sounded like this seemed like a good idea he decided with a smile.
"Okay, lets be friends!" He smiled brightly taking her hand, (y/n) jumped on him with joy
"Yay!!! My name is (y/n)" she said stepping back, a grin on her face. The dual haired boy smiled lightly
"Call me Shouto"From that day forward Crown Prince Shouto Todoroki, and servant girl (y/n) were inseparable, (y/n) would listen patiently as he told her about his fathers abuse, and console him when he cried, they would play together for hours, Shouto always promised he would one day marry (y/n) and that she would become his queen. Everything seemed perfect, but all good things come to and end. And as they grew older...They grew apart, with King Endeavors training of Shouto becoming brutal, and (y/n) taking in more responsibility as he got older... they slowly forgot the beautiful friendship that once was
"Oh Child of mine, I want the best for you
