Act Five: The begining of Sadness

Shouto's POV

After weeks of planning, the day finally came. His team was ready to go save (y/n). Shouto's father had still not returned from business yet even though he was supposed to. Shouto thanked the gods for that. It had been eight months since she was taken, it took so long for them to go because he had to plan in complete secrecy, so none of the nobles would report him to his father....he tried not to think of how (y/n) must be suffering.... it killed him, though he didn't know why, it had been years since they had spoken...even so it was his duty to protect his future subjects, and she was one of them, servant girl or otherwise.

Him and his men planned to sneak into the center of the Riankan kingdom in the main village. There they would find her using Idas sense of smell (Ida has an animal "animal" quirk in this AU shhhh just go with it). And once they found her Shouto would try and get her out while everyone was asleep, Tokoyami would cover for him. It was a risky plan but it was the best they could make with what they had.... he had to save her... no matter what.

Four days earlier with (y/n)

It had been nearly eight months since she was taken... her and Katsuki had made several attempts at an heir....
It was spring time now and she had done pretty well adapting and trying to...enjoy her new life... but there was always that nagging feeling of wishing she could go home...to see Kio, and Tomoya...and Shouto.

After she and Katsuki...tried again a few weeks ago, (y/n) started to get very sick, and throw up almost every morning.... she thought it was a bug but....then she found out.

—Flashback, about five days ago

(Y/n) rushed to the bucket in the corner of the room and we'll... lost her brekfast. This had been happening for weeks, ever since Her and Katsuki slept together... at first they thought she just caught some bug, but (y/n) was beginning to question...

She got ready for the day, and packed a lunch for when she found Katsuki, he always forgot to eat when he was busy...

She walked through the town, basket in hand, she went over to Aishidos for a while to chat and have some of Ashidos pastries, they were so good!! (Y/n) didn't have much to do that day.
After that she wandered around trying to find Katsuki, it was nearly lunchtime. After wandering for nearly twenty minutes. She found him training with Kirishima, in the training grounds. They were working on sword fighting without the use of magik. Probably on a bet Kaminari thought up. When they were done she entered the arena.

"Hello boys! I brought lunch!" She smiled holding up the basket. Kirishimas eyes brightened.
"My savior had arrived! I'm starving! Thank you my lady." He smiled rushing over, Katsuki walked over casually.
"Hey, your only supposed to make lunch for your husband not shitty hair!" He grumbled,
"Oh relax, I packed extras anyway" she said waving him off. He growled again but dropped the topic, and the hungry fighters dug in. She was about to plop down in the grass with them, when suddenly she felt herself get lightheaded. She wobbled a bit in her feet.
"H-hey Katsuki...I don't feel so great..." she murmured trying to stand straight. Katsuki and Kirishima shot up with worried glances. Her vision began to blurr. She felt herself become weightless.
"(Y/n)! (Y/N)! Stay with me damnit!"

That was the last thing she heard before her word went dark.

...

She woke up to find herself in the healing Mages hut. She sat up weakly in the bed. She saw Katsuki nervously pacing in front of her.

"Katsuki, what's wrong?" She asked. He turned to her in surprise, not knowing she was awake.
"I-I we, your, uh..." he struggled to find the words. She looked at him confused and worried.
"Your pregnant."

Ever since they learned she was pregnant, Katsuki had grown increasingly protective of her, he barely let her go anywhere without him, and when he couldn't be there, he made Kirishima act as her guard. It was kind of sweet. But (y/n) knew it was only because she was carrying an heir... or at least she hoped, if it was a girl and not a boy that could be very problematic....  if (y/n) was not able to produce a male heir after her first few "tries" then she would "fail" as a wife according to Riankan standards, and they would probably get rid of her.

But they can't just let her go, they would most likely have to kill her. It's Riankan law, if that's what they decide...

The past few days she was supposed to be taking lessons from Ashido on how to raise her child. But (y/n) already knew how to care for babies, she often helped out in the nursery at the palace for the visiting nobles children.

So instead she was spending the day at her leisure. In Riankan culture, a pregnant woman was made to do minimal work until the baby arrived, all the other wives pitched in to help with her wively duties and chores.

As of the moment she was being escorted by Kirishima, around the village for a walk.

"I'm sorry he's making you do this there's really no need" she chuckled sheepishly.

"I'm glad to! I mean you are probably carrying the future king of Rianka in there" he said pointing at her stomach.

"Yea, I suppose" she smiled softly.

"Hey...just so you know...I do feel bad for you..." he said stopping and looking down. (Y/n) tilted her head in confusion.
"We tore you from your home, forced you into a marriage you probably didn't want and now you have to bear a child" he said looking up.
"It's the way it's always been, and I've come to terms with the fact that trying to change it, won't work, so I just accepted it...though I won't help you escape, I am sorry, and if you ever want to talk, I'm here" he finished finally bowing in apology.

(Y/n) stood shocked by his words, she never expected anyone here to say that. She felt tears well up in her eyes. A few streamed down her face.
"Th-thank you, that means a lot, but just like you, I suppose I've come to terms with the situation, no one is coming to save me, but I do hope, maybe just maybe...someday...I can visit my old family" she said looking down. Kirishima smiled lightly nodding,
"I hope that wish comes true my lady"

That night

Katsuki was out late, handing some business. So after putting on her nightgown (y/n) got into bed and put out the candles herself.

She snuggled under the covers and closed her eyes. She felt sleep start to overcome her body, and began to drift away. Then suddenly, she was yanked out of the bed, by and unknown someone. Here eyes shot open, the person grabbed her from behind. She tried to scream but a hand was clamped over her mouth.
"Mmmph! MMMPH!" She struggled and squirmed to no avail.

"Shh! Shhh! (Y/n)! It's me Shouto!" The man said in a harsh whisper.

She froze. His grip loosened. She turned around to face him. Eight months...
tears began to well in her eyes, she didn't realize how much she missed home... she threw her arms around him
"sh-Shouto....I've missed you" she sobbed.
The prince was taken back by the contact but eventually he hugged her back, tightly.
"Sorry it took me so long" he muttered.
"Now let's get you out of here"

Her eyes widened, and she took a step back
"Wait, i-it's not that simple, I've been here for eight mins they And well, I've met people, the Riankans aren't so bad... and taking me like this may not be such a good idea because we'll..."
(Y/n) struggled to find words, she could see the confusion and anger in Shouto's eyes at her kindness to those who had stolen her.

"You see...I'm...I'm pregnant, with the King's child."
