Thank you @empellie for the feedback on my story! I'm glad you liked how Sydney and Jason were realistic in that they didn't fall for each other right away. I like building relationships in my characters rather than them just having love at first sight, it doesn't happen in real life and I don't write it in my books.
"Regina Bambina are you ready?"
"Yeah, I'll be right down," I yelled. I looked at myself in the mirror. I had my hair lightly curled and my makeup done. I wore a tight sparkly black dress that ended just below my butt and showed a lot of cleavage. It was the same dress Drew had been wanting me to wear.
I walked downstairs where everyone was waiting for me. The boys were all wearing suits. Annelise and mamma wore matching long blue and Turquoise striped dresses. "You are not wearing that." Said Antonio.
I rolled my eyes. "Antonio, it's your sisters night." said mamma. I stuck out my tongue at him. "Shall we go?"
Dad nodded. "Antonio is gonna drive you two and I'm gonna drive everyone else."
Antonio and I walked out to his car and the others went to mamma's van. "Alessia is meeting us there." He said.
"So is Andrew."
He growled softly. "I don't understand the two of you."
"You don't have to, but you can respect the fact that he is important to me."
He shook his head. "I'll try, but I don't like him."
"Grazie Fratello."
We arrived at a fancy restaurant that dad had invested in. We were seated right away. A few minutes later Alessia arrived. I stood up and hugged her. "You look so beautiful, Migliore Amico."
"So do you." She wore a light grey sweater dress with her hair put into two braids.
"Oh, I brought you something." She pulled out a small box.
I opened it up to see a gold and diamond infinity ring. On the inside of it was the words "best friends". "Oh Lessia it's beautiful."
"And I have the matching one." She said holding out her hand.
I slipped my ring on. "Thank you, Alessia."
She smiled. "Of course. I'm so excited to eat here, I wanna come here for my birthday in a few weeks." She squeezed my hand before walking over to sit next to Antonio.
Drew walked in. I ran into his open arms. He squeezed me right against him. "I knew you would look beautiful in this dress." He whispered.
"I'm glad you came."
He pulled away from me a bit. "I told you I would didn't I?"
I smiled grabbing his hand. He walked over to the table and sat down. "I'm so glad you could come figlioccio." smiled mamma.
"Thank you for letting me come."
"Regina insisted." Said, Dad. "And we didn't want to deny her this one thing."
Drew looked at me and smiled. "Well, I'm glad I make her happy."
I squeezed his hand underneath the table. The waiter came and took all of our orders. We all made small talk until our food arrived. Mamma raised her glass. "To my beautiful daughter Regina. I wish you many many more happy years."
I smiled. "Babygirl I hope for you to find happiness, wherever that may be."
"Thank you both." We all ate in mostly silence. "Mamma, dad could we take a walk? It's just beautiful outside."
