I watch as Jason flicks through a copy of 50 Shades Darker. "Wow," he says. "E.L. James was a genius. Her style of writing is so compelling that I can't stop reading!" I sit down next to him and read a line from the page he is on.

And I feel it - the electricity between us - tangible, drawing us together.

I look up at Jason, only to find his algae-coloured eyes staring back at me. He sighs. "I know we have only just met," he murmurs, "But I think I can feel the electricity between us. Do you?"

I freeze up. How do I respond?

"IMAVIRGIN!" I practically scream, then look away. Before I get a chance to say anything else, we hear a rustle in the distance.

"Stay here," Jason commands. "I'll go check it out." He heads outside, leaving me alone with my thoughts. There aren't many of them.

After a few minutes, he returns, eyes glued to the floor. "There was, um, it was nothing. So, uh, where were we?"

"Oh, haha, we were talking about the book. And, um, can you, like, forget about the whole virgin thing? I just, uh, it just slipped out. Sorry if it was weird."

"Ah, um, the virgin thing. Right, yes, I remember that." I look at him expectantly.

"Oh, um, it wasn't weird, no. No, it was fine." he hastily adds. Huh. Jason's acting weirdly. I guess I'll have to comfort him now. I walk closer.

"So, um, would you like to try that again? Pretend that I didn't say anything weird?" I walk even closer. Looking up at him, I lean in until we are only millimetres apart. I pause. His eyes are gold.

"Wow," I exclaim. "I didn't know your eyes change colour! Mine do, too! Look!" I pull away  and feel my eyes change from fuschia to razzmatazz. I'm so quirky. Suddenly, another Jason bursts through the door!

"Capella! Don't talk to him! He's an Immortal Shapeshifter!" he glares at the Jason with golden eyes. "A bad one, too. God, Louis! You never get the eyes right!"

In a flash, the Jason with the golden eyes - I think his name is Louis - pulls out a dagger and holds it against my throat. "All I need is your necklace," he mutters, "And I'll be out of your hair."

"Um, excuse me," I say, offended. "They're golden-brown locks, thank you very much!" Louis presses the dagger even harder against my neck. "Now!" he growls.

"Over my dead body!" the real Jason yells sexily. His shirt disappears and he charges at Louis. Omg, I think. There's just too much hotness in this room! And I faint.

When I come to, Jason is standing over me, bloody and bruised. His shirt is back on. What a shame. He notices that I am awake and helps me get up.

"Who was that?" I ask, still dazed.
"That was Louis. An Immortal."

I blinked. "There are Immortals in Mockingjayville?"
"Yes. If you have time, I can show you more."

I look down at my phone. It is 5:29 pm and I have seven missed calls from Casper. I sigh and put my phone back in my pocket.

"Sure," I say. "Show me."
