7. Rescue, or not

Alice pov

"Valkyrie, Just take a step back" Skulduggery said quietly, slowly. "What, are you crazy?" Shouted Valkyrie, "That's my baby sister, i'm not leaving her with him" She spat. Fletcher looked at Skulduggery questioningly and a silent understanding passed between them. "Val" He said softly, gently pulling her arm backwards "Come on" She spun round and slapped him full on the face, He staggered back, stunned. "Don't you understand? She's my sister!" Screamed Valkyrie "We are not leaving without her".

I whimpered quietly, the dagger of shadows still digging into my neck, Steph turned to me, her eyes full of remorse. "I'm so sorry" she mouthed. She grabbed Fletchers hand, nodded to him, turned back to me and once again mouthed "sorry". A sudden pop rang out round the room as the two of them disappeared "NO" I screamed "NO, Steph, Wait!"

Why is this happening to me, what have I done? What is all this talk of magic? I don't know how my life changed so quickly. One minute I was so happy, loads of Friends, the best sister in the world, and now, in a headlock with an unknown stranger, my only hope, my sister, disappeared with her boyfriend and the jumble of unanswered questions swimming round my head.

Unknown pov

"ring, ring, ring"

"Alright, alright! I'm coming" My phone still ringing shrilly in my handbag. "Shut up, just a minute" I juggled round the army of shopping in my bags in my arms onto my left shoulder and tried to dig my iphone out my bag, the bags all promptly falling down my arms. I dumped them on the floor and answered by phone. "Honey?"

"Yeah Jase?" I replied

"Umm, you know that shopping list I wrote you?"

"Yeah..."

"Well I forgot my aftershave. You know the one right? Blue bottle from boots with the flower on the lid?"

" Oh Jesus Christ Jase i'm on my way home"

"Well I really need it today"

"Aghhhh, fine, See you later"

"Yay! Thank you so much. Love you"

Oh joy, now i have to walk all the way back to town with these bleeding bags, i looked at my watch. Damn it, I only had 20 minutes before the shops shut.

I gathered up my shopping bags, spun round angrily and trudged back towards town.

Half and hour and one extra shopping bag later I was about 10 minutes away form home, finally. That's when I heard it.

A strangled scream pierced the evening, closely followed by another. I froze, should I help, should I run? Shit i'm gonna die.

I fumbled in my bag and drew out my phone and quickly tried to ring Jase, my feezing hands struggling with the touch screen. "Jase?" I whispered

"Whats up?" He replied unaware.

"I think somethings happening"

"urr, like what?" He asked worryingly.

"Something not good, what shall I do??

A dark figure blocked the moonlight in the alleyway.

"Jase" I squeaked

"What, whats happening?"

The figure moved forward slowly, I was frozen to the spot, just staring at him.

"Jase!" I said louder, panicked.

"No one can help you now girly" The guy smirked prowling closer. He snatched my phone out of my hand, Jase screaming through it.

"JASE!" I screamed

The guy loomed over me smiling a terrifying smile, I shrunk down, shaking and whimpering. He ended the call with Jase, throwing my phone in his pocket.

"Aren't you pretty" He drawled.

"please, please don't hurt me" I whimpered, closing my eyes.

"Too late girly, I have my orders" He smiled.

I screamed

Um, sorry, no excuse for not updating.I guess i just lost the motivation

This chaps not great because i need to get back into it, get new ideas and stuff so yeah.
