Haruhi and I stood at the doorway to the fourth library in the school, filled with people that would rather chat than do actual work. With a sigh, we walked away and started trying to find a quiet place for us to study. Paying no mind to some of the odd looks we received at our attire, we wandered through the halls.
"You know, you'd think people would actually use the libraries to do work, not talk to their friends." Ending her sentence with a huff, Haruhi looked at me with an exasperated expression. Shrugging, I put my hands into the pockets of my hoodie, fiddling with my pencil.
"Don't know what to tell ya Haru, don't know what to tell ya," was my only response as we ended up in the quietest part of the school. Glancing around, I noticed that there didn't seem to be any students around, not even any noise could be heard from the music rooms I could see.
"It's really quiet for a music room, isn't it." Haru commented, standing in front of Music room 3. I nod in agreement, watching her open the door slowly as to not disturb anyone that could be inside. Unexpectedly, rose petals flew out of the doors towards us. Swatting some petals away, I stared in slight shock at the image in front of me.
A group of boys were standing, one of them sitting in a fancy chair, seemingly as if they were expecting someone to open the door and entire the room. They welcome us, as if this was a movie or romcom, as Haru and I look at each other in confusion.
"Oh, its just 2 boys," two of the boys comment. I assume their twins since they're identical, with the exception of the one with his bangs parted to his left being ever so slightly taller. Raising my eyebrow, I glance down at my attire of a simple black hoodie and jeans before glancing at Haru's outfit. I guess someone could mistake Haru for being male, considering her outfit.
"Hikaru, Kaoru. I believe these young men are in your class, yes?" A black haired boy with glasses asks twins. The pair shrugs before shifting their eyes between us and the ravenette.
"Well, the glasses wearing one is shy, while the one in the hoodie doesn't talk to anyone else except the one in glasses," Hikaru and Kaoru, I have no clue which is who, answer.
"They don't talk much, so we don't anything about them." The ravenette looked at the twins for a second before shifting his stare towards us, making me uncomfortable and shift my weight a bit.
"Well, that's not very nice.." He looks at us before saying, "Welcome to the Ouran Host Club, Misters Honor students." I shrug and mumble a quiet greeting, while Haruhi is behind me trying to open the door.
"What? You must be the Fujioka twins we've heard so much about! Luca and Haruhi~!" A blonde with violet eyes exclaims, eyes sparkling a bit. Haruhi stops trying to open the door as both turn to look at the excited blonde.
"How do you know our names?" She questions, coming to my side. I tilted my head slightly, quite curious as to what the response would be.
"Your infamous. Not everyday commoners, commoner twins especially, are admitted into Ouran. You must have some nerve to fight your way here, you two," the ravenette answers, making me furrow my brow. I didn't like people referring to us as commoners, all because we weren't rich like everyone else here.
"Uh.. Thanks, I guess," Haru responds, rubbing the back of her neck. Sighing, I watch as the tall blonde walks over to Haru, ranting about 'how we paved the way for other poor people'.
"Long live the Poor~! We welcome you to our world of beauty~!" Blondie exclaims and I swear I saw sparkles and flowers in the background. Crossing my arms, I frowned and walked over to the pair, standing in front of Haru. I fixed my glare up at the male, frowning deeper.
"World of crap is more like it," I tell him making him blanch and turn pale. Haruhi tugged on my hoodie, causing me to turn around and look at her curiously.
"Come on, Luca. Let's get out of here," I can see a hint of desperation in her eyes, so I nod quickly and we start to make our way to the door. Before we could get to the door however, a small blonde with sparkling hazel eyes runs up to us and grabs our sleeves, effectively stopping us both.
"Hey where are you going, Haru-chan, Luca-chan? You guys are like superheroes or something! WOW!" He squealed, causing Haru and I to look at him in surprise.
"I never thought that the new students would be so openly gay.." the tall blonde commented a few feet away, causing Haru to gasp.
"Openly what?" She question, while I tilted my head a bit while looking at the violet eyed man. I was about to make a comment, but he interrupted me, seemingly not paying any mind to what either of us said.
"So what kind of guys are you into?" He asks, making me blush slightly at the lack of hesitation in the question. He corners Haru against a small podium that held a vase on it. Noticing it wiggled slightly when Haru got close to it, I took a small step forward just in case it fell. I paid no mind to anything the blonde was saying, focusing more on the vase.
"Or maybe...You're into a guy like me?" He questions, lifting Haru's chin with his finger. Everything feels like its in slow motion as I watch Haru back into the podium, causing it to shake violently. I try to run over as I watch the vase fall, barely noticing Haru leaning over the podium reaching for it. A loud crash sounds as the vase falls, making me slow down next to Haru. We stare at the pieces of the vase in terror before staring at each other. We were too shocked to even notice the twins appear behind us.
"Aw, now you did it, commoner," one of the them said, standing behind Haru. "That vase was supposed to be featured in an up coming school auction." Four-eyes pushes up his glasses with his finger, creating an glare on the lens.
"The bidding was going to start at 8 million yen." He states making mine and Haru's jaws drop.
"WHAT!?" We exclaim at the same time, both of us startled by the price. Haruhi starts mumbling stuff like 'how many thousands are in a million'. Grabbing Haru's shoulders, I shook her slightly in an attempt to get her attention.
"Haru what are we supposed to do?! We don't have anywhere near that much money!" Panic was evident in my voice, which shook slightly as a spoke. Haru raised her hands in surrender, looking as scared as I probably did.
"I didn't mean to! I swear!" She tells me in a panic, sweating slightly. I swear quietly under my breath, brushing my hair back with my hand. I turn to the group, a frown on my face.
"We're going to have to pay you back." I mumble, knowing that paying them back was going to be so god damn challenging. The twins snorted and shrug mockingly.
"With what money? You guys can't even afford the school uniform." They comment, making me irritated. Scowling, I move to walk forward but stop when I feel Haru grab the back of my hoodie. I turn to look at her and she shakes her head, mouthing 'don't'. I nod, calming myself down before gently tugging my hoodie out of her hold. Glasses picks up a piece of the broken vase, examining it.
"What shall we do, Tamaki?" He asks Tamaki, great now I can separate him and the smaller blonde, while looking up from the shard. Tamaki sits down, crossing his legs.
"There's a saying; 'When in Rome, you do what the Roman's do'. So you're going to follow that saying, Fujioka brothers. Since you have no money, you'll pay with your bodies!" He says. He then points at us and says, no, more like demanded us, "From now on, you'll be the Host Club's dogs!" When he said that only one thought came into my mind.
'Welp, this'll be interesting...'
