Chapter 2

The sound of the vehicle kept me awake as it softly hummed against my body. Voices were muffled as I sat here at the back of this van. The temperature was slightly cold as the straps they used to tie me down loosened. I sighed as I leaned against the blackened window.

Couldn't they at least allow some light within this dark place.

My eyes slowly closed as my heart fluttered with a sense of nervousness. I was scared. I didn't know anything about this 'Rehab' that they decided to send me too. Honestly, what if I met actual crazy people there? Now that I think about it, that might not be bad...

What are you doing Rihna?

A sudden chill struck through my body as that presence pushed through to the surface of my subconsciousness. It waved through between the fine line between my sanity and recklessness. The force caused me to wince as I harshly bit my lip drawing a small substance to drip down.

It was blood.

Flashes of forgotten events flashed through my mind as I let out a small gasp. Her warm smile, her kind eyes, her dead body...

It was your fault. If only you didn't do that, she would've been alive.

SHUT UP!

The connection broke as I forced the presence to retreat back within its cage. It roared in anger as is scratched against my sanity causing me to release an ear piercing scream. The van suddenly stopped as I sobbed against my seat. All I could hear was the loud beat within my rib-cage as the doors to the van slammed open.

"We're here," a cold voice muttered as bony hands unhooked the straps and pulled me out of that seat. I felt a bit wobbly as my feet planted onto the ground. I looked up and saw a huge buildings all around me coloured white. There was barbed windows which was used to ensure that there was no single chance of me to escape. I slowly looked up at the main building. There was a sign above the ginormous metal doors which read 'BH Rehabilitation Centre' which caused me to tilt my head.

What does 'BH' stand for?

I merely shook my head and dismissed that thought till the guy behind pushed me to walk forward. That was when I realised everyone around me was dressed up in a clean sharp white uniform with an armed baton and a small gun strapped to their hips. However, the guards at the door carried an extra gun which was huge as they held it with both hands. I didn't know what it was, but I didn't want to find out.

"Do not be so ruff with the lost child," a warm voice called out as I looked over towards it. It was a small broad man who had one of the most warmest smile I've ever seen. He held a fatherly aura as he strutted over towards us while being followed by a gorgeous lady from behind. She wore a simple white suit with a pencil skirt and stiffly held her grey board towards her chest.

"Mr Hitman Bang," the guard stiffly said as he straightened his back more. The little man walked over towards me and gave the guard a curt nod.

"I hope your ride has been uneventful my dear child. None of my workers have caused you harm have they?" He asked with a worried look as I stared at his doe-like eyes.

I'm not used to this kindness...

Merely, I shook my head and fiddled with my fingers. My nerves was getting to me as this man smiled broadly and patted my shoulders softly. I flinched away from instinct as he gave me a surprised look.

"My apologies, I shouldn't have done that." Mr Bang said as he looked at me worriedly. He didn't expect me to act this timid due to the reports he heard about me. However, he realised that through this exchange, I was just another broken girl created by society that has become defective. His eyes soften at the realisation.

Oh, how wrong he was...

"Come on inside my child, you must be cold and hungry after the journey you've been through." He hummed as we all walked inside the main building. It was different from what I imagined. Compared to the outside, inside felt more homier. There was a red velvet carpet across the floors and comfy looking red couches and chairs. The reception area was the only thing that looked formal within this place, without it - I would've mistaken this place as a person's house.

I suck at details, I know.

Mr Bang led me down the hallway towards an office. More importantly, his office. We walked in as he sent the guards away whilst I sat down on my chair. I looked back at him and just as he closed the door, I noticed a snow-haired boy gaze at me before he looked away. By then, Mr Bang closed the door and turned to smile at me.

I wonder who that was...
