To say I was upset was an understatement. I was ready to kill. Koz came to the funeral for two reasons the first was to comfort me and the second was to tell me Kipps couldn't make it. I was just going to have to pay him a little visit. I slipped out of the little black number I was wearing for the funeral. And into a lacey black bra let and a pair of black high waisted skinny jeans. Not bothering to look for a new pair of shoes I slipped on the black pumps I was wearing and grabbed my cropped leather jacket.

Jake's lawyer had called me, after the funeral, to inform me that Jake had left me and one other person everything he had. That person was none other than Kipp Epps, an old marien buddy who was attached to our team till he was medically discharged. I wasn't upset at the fact that he was in the will, it was the fact that he couldn't be bothered to show up. He was going to be Jake's best man at the wedding. He was going to be the godfather to our children. He was our brother and not just in arms. He was our family and he couldn't even show up to the funeral. He was the one who interduced Jake and I in boot camp. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone and go to Kipp myself. And I knew just where he is. Charming, California. The same little town that Jake wanted to retire in. Apparently those late nights we laid in bed and talked till morning, he actually listened to what I said. He bought us a place and turned it into a gym. And not only that but had put in a dance studio just for me and my desire to teach and choreograph dance.
"Ma'am?" A voice called me back to the present. A boy who looked to be about 16 years old stood at the doors of the elevator. "I don't want to bother you but we're on the first floor now and I didn't know if you were getting off here or.."
" Oh. Sorry. Thanks." I nodded my head and left to check out.
I had just gotten my bike loaded up when I got a call from a realtor telling me everything I have had just gotten to the house I bought.
Watch out Charming California here I come ready or not.
