♛After some research, I learnt that we don't need hair oil because our roots uses nutrients from blood. The scalp naturally secretes oil called sebum which lubricates hair strands and protects it from foreign bacteria. Adding extra oil to your scalp will simply block the sebum from coming up as they have different lipid-profiles (fatty acid makeup) from the natural oil. So oil is better used as pre-poo or treatments cause you'll wash it out.
