(Y/n)
I heard Leandra walk towards the room I was in, "(Y/n), I'm going on my weekly visit with Gamlen. Would you desire to come?" She asked.

I sighed and placed my book back onto the table top and stood up saying, "Of course Aunt, it's about time I saw him," I smiled towards him, though I had seen him yesterday I looked forward to seeing him nonetheless.

"Oh good! Now get ready!" She called and went to her room. I did the same, just a tad bit slower.

This is the only chance I'll have to keep her safe out at night. It isn't safe at night for her anymore.  I thought my plan out in my head. I walked out after finishing, and learned I was done first. I chose to talk to Nina in my head, Nina?

Yes, Mistress?

I've a statement, if you will listen...

Of course, it is what we do...

It's about Leandra...

Oh mistress, you know that you can't forever prevent her death, all your doing is keeping the future from taking place... Nina said slowly, her voice trying, You tried, and Leandra will understand. She will still love you, now is time you gave up. Nina continued slowly, her voice slowly tearing at my mind as she left my thoughts.

"Oh, (Y/n), that was quick," Leandra said, watching me as she walked down the steps.

"After all the years here, getting ready to go out with Hawke have taken their toll on my instincts. I've gotten a lot quicker," I said, smiling slowly.

"Let's go then!" Leandra said, walking towards the door, "Bodahn! I'm going to meet my suitor after this... Please tell Hawke so she doesn't worry, and tell her I have (Y/n) with me as well," She told Bodahn and he nods.

"Of course, Madam."

*With the seeker!*

So we walked out, taking Leandra's normal route, but we didn't make it to Gamlen's house at all.

*Current!*

It was darker out and Leandra was still walking normally, like she always did. I saw a figure slowly making their way over to us. "Help me! I've been injured.... I need to get somewhere to someone to heal me...." The man collapsed.

I stopped and glared at the man, "What's your name? I can take you to the healer in Darktown, I'm quick enough!"

"No no no no no! I've been hurt awhile I need to get somewhere here!" The man growled.

"Well, there's a woman in that building, they can help you," I snarled back.

"Help, get me to the foundry down there," The said, pointing in the direction to the foundry, where they found Ninette's wedding ring.

My eyes widened, "You. You! Oh, it's you! You're the bloodmage! What do you want from us!" I snarled, enraged by the man. He recognized me as well, but he too, had plans for me.

"Yes, it is me, but I assure you... I just need to get there."

"Bloodmage or not, he still needs help!" Leandra said, as she helped him up and began walking away with him.

"Aunt wait!" I yelled, running after her.

We entered the place and I looked around, a shade appeared and they moved around it, while I had to fight it. It managed to hit my side, but I still took it down. A moment after I heard Hawke's voice call out, "Mother! (Y/n)!"

"Hawke..." I mumbled, looking away from them, holding my side. They walked in and I darted up to The room, "I have to make it! If I don't she'll die!" I ran along the corridor, hearing Hawke and her companions yell my name.

I heard Fenris, and I pause momentarily yet continued, "I'm sorry Fenris.." I found the trapdoor and slammed it open and jump in after them. Hawke found it and she ran in, seeing me dart my way around shades and demons. I made my way to Quentin and was attacked by more demons, making me pause momentarily.

Hawke ran in, and attacked the shades. She grabbed my arm before I could continue and I fought and struggled in her grasp. And finally, I did it. I did what Quentin wanted. Horns growing from my head as I launched Hawke backwards a few paces and turned towards the entrance he went down as undead began to rise around us. Eyes glowing brightly as I used my magic, glowing a dark purplish red as I disappeared and reappeared in the room with him. "Final stretch bloodmage." The horns on the top of my head glowing blue at the tips as I tilted my head as I brought my right hand before myself as the horns began shrinking back into my skin as my eyes returned to their usual color. "It's over."

(Think of Charlie's demon horns from Hazbin hotel, but black and glowing blue at the tips due to the lyrium everywhere on her body. Also Lay your love on me was playing and it really suits the way I rewrote this part. https://youtu.be/YT-wSm18JXM?si=8Qm4Nyj5bseAQ2oe)

With that I let the flame in my hand loose as I launched it across the room at him, seeing as he put up a shield to dodge it. "You cannot stop what is already in motion!" He yelled in a snarl. "You cannot keep us apart!"

"Then I will tear you apart bit by bit!" I felt a hot sensation coursing through my veins as I convulsed slightly, leaning down to take on the form of a large wolf. Snarling into the air as my eyes narrowed on the man, rushing his form as he teleported to the other side of the room. As Hawke entered, mind clouded with anger and resentment. Nothing bringing me back except the yell from Hawke about her mother, pausing and letting my body return to normal as my palms dug into the bloodied ground shakily. I stood up and watched in horror as I stumbled towards the two women and fell to my knees beside them. "Oh no... Leandra..." As I looked down at Leandra and she spoke silently, as she had already told Hawke her piece.

"Your mother would have be so proud of you, (Y/n). I know she would. I, myself, am very proud of you, and I want to thank you for protecting me, this far. Now your job is-"

"But Leandra I've failed you, how can you be happy?" I felt the tears stinging my eyes as they cascaded down my cheeks as a soft sob wracked my entire body.

"Over, and I couldn't be anymore free. He would have kept me in here, and you knew that. Now your job is done and you may do whatever it takes to protect Hawke, no matter the costs. Remember you two, I love you so much," And she died, her head slowly rolling back in Hawke's arms with her eyes glazing over with death.

I looked away, hanging my head as Fenris cautiously made his way to our sides, "I'm sorry, I was with her and the shade at the beginning..." I cried harder as the pain in my side came back in a wave, hand moving to my side as I let another sob wrack my body harder. "It... She.... It's all my fault..."

"There was nothing you could have done," Fenris spoke slow as he kneeled down beside me and placed his hand gently on my shoulder.

"But there was!" I growled, putting my face in the crook of his neck, "Leandra's gone, because of me....."

"You couldn't have seen it happening." Fenris said slowly.

"I knew something was wrong the whole time.." I pulled back, tears falling down my face as I went to turn away from him. His warm hands cupped my cheek, smearing some of the blood covering my face onto his fingers as he began to wipe away the tears. "I thought if I went with her I could save her..."

"Fate is a cruel thing, Cupcake." Varric spoke, walking over and placing his hand with a heavy sigh on Hawke's shoulder. "We should go Hawke."

The woman was sniffling as she held her mother to her chest tightly, sobbing heavily.

(We'll Meet Again playing the second I finished this chapter made the ending feel more sad. https://youtu.be/8Nzy1cfnKh4?si=lSASvG6KvXtane9X)
