Another week had passed.
Jahseh's funeral was being held at the graveyard across from the public park on a Saturday. Friends and family came, dressed in black and with a blank expression painted across their faces. Jahseh's parents intertwined their hands and held them tightly, as if they would never let eachother go.
Stokeley didn't attend the funeral. He felt that there was no need in him being there at all, felt as if he wasn't a good enough friend to Jahseh.
Stokeley stayed home once again, that full day, binge watching Ru Paul's Drag Race on Netflix and stuffing his face with anything he could find with sugar in it. He surely would have put on a lot of weight just from these past few days, he didn't care though, he just continued to stuff his face and scream annoyed at his television.
Stokeley had expected Jarad to text him to ask if he wanted to hang out today. Even though he declined every time, he was still happy at the fact that he was asked. He took out his phone and decided to text him himself.
Slumpy
hey, you doing anything later?Stokeley waited a while and there was no reply. He was starting to get impatient. But then finally, he got a reply.
Juiceee
sorry homie but i'm busy later.
what about we go out tomorrow?seen
Stokeley didn't even bother to reply, he just sat slumped on his sad couch, reminding himself how lonely he was without X.
