Yoongi's POV

I never thought that I would work as a carer but, Mrs Lewis is a cool old lady. She doesn't treat me the way other adults do like I'm a lost cause. I told her everything my brother is going through right now, and she understands why he can't be her carer and that our mum will not let Hoseok grow up. Yes, dad did not want him to grow up either but, at least he didn't treat Hoseok like a toddler. I plan to bring Hoseok to visit Mrs Lewis one day. I think he would like that.

Once I finish the housework, I join Mrs Lewis in the sitting room for some tea as always. I stare into my cup, just thinking and worrying.

"Don't worry so much." Mrs Lewis smiles at me. "He will be okay."

"I hope so." I sigh. "Growing up, I was always jealous of Hoseok, that he got to live with dad, and I was left with our crazy mother. Now, I just want to look out for him. I have to get him away from that house."

"You said that it doesn't appear that the stepdad is beating him. And your mother is being overly clingy."

"Yeah. I just, I don't know. I have this fear that something is awful in that house. I've always felt it."

"Other than the abusive stepfather?" Mrs Lewis asks.

"Yes. Something much worse."

She frowns at me. "Have you told the police about the beatings?"

"No. I wanted to...but he really did a good job of keeping me quiet."

"Yoongi, if you tell them it might help your brother."

"What if they don't believe me? Because I lied already and my bruises are gone."

"I will be a witness if you need it. I still remember that day that I found you sitting in the rain covered in blood and bruises."

"I don't know if I can."

Mrs Lewis strokes away the tears on my cheeks. "When you are ready to tell them, let me know. I will help you."

"Thank you, Mrs Lewis." I hug her tight. "I'm glad I have you to talk to, I have no one else right now."

Jungkook's POV

I hold Hoseok's hand as we sit on a bench outside the jail. I can see that he is nervous.

"Are you sure you want to do this Hobi?"

"I have to. I need to see him and ask him why."

"I wish I could go in with you."

Hoseok smiles sweetly at me. "You would scare him Kookie."

I shove him playfully. "If you want to leave there at any time, just do it. I'll be waiting here for you."

"Thanks." He kisses me and stands up. He sighs heavily then disappears into the building.

Hoseok's POV

I sit at a table in the visiting room, looking around warily. Jimin is escorted over to our table by a guard. He sits but doesn't look at me. He just stares at his hands on the table.

"Jimin?" Slowly he looks up. I'm shocked to his face is bruised. "What happened to you?"

He shrugs. "Nothing."

"Are you okay?"

"Yes. How are you?"

"I'm okay."

"Good."

I didn't expect our meeting to be this awkward!

"I wanted to ask you some questions, Jimin."

He sighs. "Fine. I might not be able to answer them, though."

"Were you the one that attacked Taehyung in the toilets?"

"Yes."

I can tell he is sad and ashamed, though he is trying to hide his emotions. "Why?"

"I can't say."

"Why, Jimin?"

"I just can't."

I sigh. "Well then, why did you drug me?"

"To keep you--" Jimin stops himself. He bites his lip and changes his answer. "Because I had to."

"That's not really an answer. Why can't you just tell me?"

"Hoseok where are you living now?"

"With my mum still."

Jimin's eyes show a flash of anger. "I hear Yoongi is free now?"

"Yes but he doesn't live with us."

Suddenly Jimin grabs my hand, leans close and whispers. "Hobi be careful. Just look around you, but be very careful."

"What do you mean?"

"It was good to see you Hobi. I'm sorry for everything. Stay safe." With that, Jimin stands and heads back to his cell.

I'm left blinking stupidly. What does he want me to look around at? And why is he angry that I'm still with mum? I feel like this meeting has gained more questions than answers. If Jimin wants me to look around then, I guess that's what I must do. But what do I look around at?
