I woke up to the sound of the towns sirens going off. I went downstairs to my parents to see if they knew what was going on.
ALERT, ALERT, ALERT!!!!
EVACUATE AND RELOCATE TO SAFETY!!!!!!
"Mum! Dad!" I say trying to find them. I found them packing some of the kitchen supplies "Mum? What's going on?"
"Jordan? Oh hey umm.. how do I...." she starts to say but dad cut in getting straight to the point "A virus has spread throughout the town and we have to evacuate"
"I.. i.. I'll umm ... uh I'll go start packing then" I say trying to process everything but my mind just went to my best friend and crush that I've known since we were little. I'll go upstairs to pack. Once I finish i find my phone I text my best friend.
'Hey Kylie, hru are u okay?' Jordan
I waited for her to text back and as soon as I saw that the dots saying she was typing gave, me a sense of relief.
'Hey JD, yeah I'm good a bit scared and worried tho I was just about to text you, hru doing' Kylie
'That's good I'm more then glad to hear that and I'm good just wanted to check on u' Jordan
'Anyways finnish packing, i'll see u later fingers crossed' Kylie
'Okay hopefully I'll see u later' Jordan
I put my phone in my bag and go downstairs to my parents waiting for me. We hurry outside and head to find this shelter.
