New York: New Life

Chapter 1: "And i quote i will never....."

" Urggg.. Kayla hurry up we are going to miss our flight which starts in one hour and we still have to go through security"

"Lydia please just give me two more minutes I promise and you know I never and I quote I will never break my promies" I say as I fail to try and zip my stuffed suitcase for the tenth time today

"fine but you now have 1 minute and 30 second

Well let me get started I am as you know Kayla a 17 year old former senior as in I just graduated 2 weeks ago and now me and best friend Lydia are off to New York to our dream college which my 19 year old brother refuse to attend, my parents are on a business trip to Miami they left two days ago but we already said our goodbyes let me just say I am so happy to be leaving what you may call California but I call a living nightmare because of high school drama yeah I know so cliche but its true, anyways one of the main reasons is to get away from the gorgeous beast himself James Alexander Tate.

"30 seconds if you don't get down here now I will leave I am not kidding"

"Coming some ones in a bad mood" I say as I walk down stairs"

after locking and checking to make sure it was locked we head to the airport and go through security when we take off i start to drift off thinking of my new future which will take place in 24 plus hours and then about my best friend Lydia her long blonde hair and blue eyes are stumning, then I think about myself and my long brown waist length hair and brown eyes we are almost polar opposites but both beautiful.

Before I drift off I check my surrounding's and I peek at Lydia who is fast asleep then I gasp OMG ITS HIM I I duck hoping he will not notice me but as he passes by me he does and says "Kayla... is that you" with a very surprised look why is he out of all people coming to New York too urgg I was supposed to have a better life.

That's it I am going to scream to the rooftops if this is real am I seeing James Alexander Tate on the plane with me on his way to New York the place where I was supposed to go to get away from all things high school especially him urgg well here goes nothing. "Ummm... Yeah its me" I say not so happy at the moment.

With his famous smirk that sends the rest of the girls head over heels (not me of course) he says "well well I have a stalker on my hands I knew you couldn't stay away that long"

"Oh please like I would follow you" I try to say more in a I could care less tone but my voice comes out a little more nervous then I would have liked

"Ohhh feisty little darling today aren't we" with that same stupid smirk I just want to slap off of his face

"Could you just go back to your seat or jump off the plane for all I care" OK harsh I know but can you blame me he has bullied and teased me since the first day of 2nd grade

"Ouch I'm gonna pretend I did not hear that last comment and just say see ya soon" he practically storms off like he's mad at me if anything I should be the furious one

Okay why did he not say something mean or splash something in my face I am sorta freaking out right now and see ya soon I do not want to see him ever oh just when I thought life could not get worst

"Oh and Kayla tell Lydia I said hi"

What is this have I gone mad is he being nice or am I just delusional.

After being cramped on the plane for so long we are finally free currently me and Lydia are walking out of the airport when he comes up to us and says "hello ladies how was your flight?"

I quickly grab Lydia's arm and I basically drag her to the other side of the airport but she stopped mid walk and says "OMG was that.."

I interrupt and say " yep now let's go before he switches our bags or something"

She just looks at me wide eyed with her mouth nearly dropping to the floor while I am trying to pull her arm to leave but she seems frozen like she just walked into a mad house why must she be so over dramatic now, my worst nightmare could be hot on our trails I tug on her arm some more until she finally looks at me and gulps while trying to catch her breath and she once again says "OMG" while finally gaining control of her self.

"Kayla why is James here and why is he being nice is this a dream oh I have to wake up before we miss our flight" and she goes to pinching herself I just sigh why is she always so over dramatic.

"Lydia its not a dream he's here in New York I saw him on the plane and you were sleeping it all happened so fast"

"Whattt!!!! You saw him on the plane and you didn't tell me"

"Look I'm sorry I guess I was just hoping not to see him again and to avoid him completely but then he came and he urgg listen Lydia can we please talk about this later let's just go to the apartment settle down and then we can talk but I am to tired to deal with this right now"

"Fine but I am still mad and I not talking to you right now except to say wanna get some froyo"

"Sure whatever you want let's just go"

I say angrily as we walk to the froyo hut in the airport

We are now at the apartment and almost finished unpacking I know it will be that time to talk soon but I honestly feel that I cleared everything but Lydia refuses to talk to me unless I talk to her so I guess we are going to talk and interrupting my thoughts comes none other then my best friend herself

"Its time to talk now why is he here is he following you so he can pull the worst prank ever on you and have it filmed and seen by the entire population of New York"

" no I don't know maybe this is his where his dream college is too"

"Kayla Lauren Lockwood don't give me that crapola I bet you do know why he's here don't you" when she uses my full name I know she furious but I do not know why James is here

"Lydia I swear I do not know why he's here maybe to pull the prank of the century but I honestly do not know"

"I believe you but we have to dig deeper and find out why he's here"

" can I ask you something why does it even matter that he's here?"

"Because I dont OK it just does" immediately thoughts run through my head does she like him, are they dating, what's the big secret

"Please tell me I won't judge"

"Ok fine we ki...... Kissed please don't hate me"

"What you kissed my worst nightmare and tormentor!!!!"

"I don't have any feelings for him I promise it just happened ok after Nicks party when he played that huge prank on you I went to give him a piece of my mind when he kissed me and I kissed him back I'm so sorry"

I could not believe what I was hearing so I ran to no where in particular in a big city I have never been in how could she, may be she was caught in the moment but why didn't she tell the party was just a month ago when he and his friends threw egg yolk and mashed potatoes on my new dress I was forced to wear by her and he filmed it and sent the video to everyone in our entire senior class I was picked on and teased for 2 weeks straight while Lydia comforted me but little did I know she made out with that thing I'm so shocked and mad.
