The language I speak
they just don't understand,
it is as if I am from a whole 'nother land
Jesus is who I try to express,
but it seems to me they couldn't care less
They anxiously look for a different way,
not knowing their lives only have a certain amount of days
I try to be the light,
but they're putting up a pretty good fight
I tell them,
"The battle is over! God has won!"
Sadly, they didn't believe that one
God gave me a choice,
and when I chose Him,
He gave me a voice
I promised to follow Him,
and speak about the Word to them
I need to be a worldchanger,
but I give all the credit to my Saviour
They tell me I'm wrong
and they give me hate,
but God tells me,
"Keep going! It isn't too late!"
I continue to tell them about God,
but for some reason,
they still think I'm odd
God, it's becoming really hard,
but He replies,
"Just remember, I'm always in your heart."
I go on along my journey
as God continues to use me,
I hold God's hand
as I take an even bigger stand,
One person began to see
the loving fire that lives within me,
The person wanted to know more
about this God I have in store,
This person asked several questions,
of who He is
and why I wanted to take action,
I answered,
"He is the one who died on the cross,
for all the broken,
for all the lost."
The person listened to every word I said,
and my last sentence read,
"God is not dead."
This person soon got saved
and God was the only thing they actually craved,
We began to spread the Word
and soon everyone heard,
All the lost became found
and we will forever be heaven-bound!
