Let's go back.

Back to the time before dragons flew. Before dwarves mined. Before elves smithed the ancient weapons that weren't ancient then.

It was a time of peace. There was two kingdoms. The kingdom of Krackenfall and Wolfsbreathe.

They were neighbors. The only thing separating these two kingdoms was the Lands Jaws. A large gorge that runs farther than even an elf eye can see.

In the beginning days of these kingdoms two men (Kracken and Wolf) built a bridge over Lands Jaws. In honor of them the kingdoms were named after them.

The kingdoms were finished after their deaths. When they died there ashes were poured in Lands Jaws. Then their hammers were dropped down below.

In the depths of Lands Jaws evil things lived. Dark evil creatures who fallow no rules and fallow no one. Yet they fight side by side.

When the ash and hammers fell the creatures saw this they became angered. For years they planned. Decades. Meanwhile the kingdoms of Krackenfall and Wolfsbreathe were prospering.

But when the kingdoms became a century old the dark ones attacked.

They were tall, dark, and strong. They used no weapons for just the sight of them made the bravest warrior run in fear.

Krackenfall was attacked first. The army alone could not stand. Those lucky enough to escape fled to Wolfsbreathe.

General Frosteye of Krackenfall and General Hawkling of Wolfsbreathe met in the halls of Wolf. Together they put together a plan to defeat the dark beings.

They were given the name "Krackens" for their act at the battle of Krackenfall. Frosteye and Hawkling decided that they would have to act fast before Wolfsbreathe could fall.

Outside the kingdom they gathered the two armies as one. Together they stood at the bridge. Slowly the Kracken came. Some men fled but those who stood and fought that day would be remembered as long as time itself.

It was a long, gruesome, battle. The Kracken were strong. A mere swing of the sword could not kill it. Catapults shot large balls of wood and rock. Several shots were fired.

Then by accident one catapults was aimed incorrectly. A good portion if the fighting was happening in the bridge. The bridge itself is over 300 feet across and 100 feet wide. As I was saying one catapult was incorrectly aimed and the shot hit the bridge.

The bridge was made of stone. The shot hit the center of the bridge. However the shooters did not notice. So the bridge was shot multiple times before it stopped.

By then it was in pieces. Many men died from the shots as well as falling off.

We had almost lost our only way to Krackenfall. Almost. The fight continued. Men rode out on horses and archers stood on hillsides. But no matter how many Kracken were killed it seemed they kept crawling out of Lands Jaws.

But we kept the fight alive.

However when it seemed that we had beaten them for good. A large dark hand reached out breaking the last parts of the bridge.

This was like nothing any mortal man had seen before. It was a towering giant. Larger than Wolfbreathe.

They named it Wolf. For not long after it crawled out did Wolfbreathe fall.

Any living men from the battle fled to the forest. The forest of Underleaf. It's said if you enter the forest there's no way out. But it's also said to be a Safe Haven.

General Frosteye was the only general to survive. He formed a small tribe with his men and Hawklings men on the edge of the forest.

For thousands of years the tribe grew. It became large and became known throughout Underleaf.

That brings us to where we are now. The forth century anniversary of The Frost Kingdoms birth.
