Sanskar was still peeping inside the operation theater in a hope to get a glimpse of his baby sister but all in vain. He got alerted when he saw a doctor walking towards the door and stood aside while the doctor came out of the theater.“Doctor. How is my sister?” he immediately asked which also alerted Ragini. She wiped her face and looked up to find Sanskar inquiring the doctor. She reached them in no time.
“Her situation would have worsened if there was a delay to bring her here. She has been operated on time and will be fine soon. Don't worry” the doctor gave a formal assuring smile which made Sanskar's chest fall in relaxation.
“Thank goodness” he wiped his forehead.
“Thank her. She brought the patient on time” the doctor pointed at Ragini who was standing behind him. He happily turned to thank his sister's savior but suddenly his body stiffened and he tried very hard to control his reflexes from reacting.
Ragini who was all smiles looked at Sanskar and she so did not liked the expression on his face. She shrunk her eyebrows not understanding what was running in his mind.
He raised his hand and was ready to speak something. But his mind reminded him that he is in a hospital and he left a quick hot breath closing his eyes and brought his hand down frustrated. He held Ragini by her elbow while the doctor walked away leaving them behind.
“Mumma” he heard a squeal and stopped dragging Ragini. “What the hell are you doing?” Ankita came to her mother's rescue and so did Aniket. Sanskar's anger started cooling in bits.
“Baby. Mumma will be back okay” Ragini looked at Ankita and signed her to take care of Aniket. Ragini walked a bit further and Sanskar walked behind her.
Ankita and Aniket kept watching them disappearing at the edge of the hallway.
Sanskar brought Ragini in front of him to face her. “I'm so happy Sara is alright” she said with glittery eyes. “Really?” Sanskar twitched his jaws.
“She was happy all these years without you. Why was it necessary for you to spoil it Ragini?” he asked nearing her. Though his intimidating closeness made her shiver but she was happy that he called her by her name. Suddenly his voice felt having all those lost emotions.
“Sanskar. I...” “ Why have you returned to our life? Why?” he spoke sternly. She looked at him painfully.
“I needed you in my life once upon a time. Not now. I have learned to live my life without you. So please I beg you don't make me dependent on you again. Please” he folded his hands.
She nodded her head nearing him more.
“I just, just, just …... just needed you to survive. Was that so impossible to think of? Was that?” his eyes developed tears while he stared her in pain.
