'This is it.' - Delaney thought to herself as she leaned on her right arm. - 'My last day here... well I won't miss anyone. Except Lux.'

As she was speculating she gazed at the petite ginger girl sitting beside her. Delaney admired her features in awe - her face was soft and round, her freckles were sprinkled along her face and body like stars in the night sky and her silky hair was neatly combed in a ponytail. The sun shone on her face and that urged Delaney's eyes to move from her features to her hazel eyes. The conflict between the dark brown and the emerald in her eyes perfectly complimented her plump figure.

"Perhaps miss Miller would like to enlighten us on why Persephone and Hades' bond was so different from all others?" - a strident voice questioned from the front of the classroom. Delaney wasn't bothered by that disruption of her trance and monotonously answered.

"Their love was pure and two-sided, unlike some others. They both loved each other and instead of one going out of their way to have affairs, they loved unconditionally. The only downside to their relationship is Demeter's grief for her daughter, resulting in the Fall and Winter seasons."

"Precisely." - the teacher remarked in surprise. Even when the raven-haired girl wasn't paying attention she still was. That brought her to the top of her class and was considered one of the 'brightest students of Harrison High'. That title did have it's advantages, but it also brought a lot of taunts her way.

No matter, Lux always had her back. She always stood by Del, in her brightest and in her darkest hours. Delaney would need someone like that in her new school, to get her by. She crossed her fingers as she hoped that whoever her new friends would be, they would be as chirpy and cheerful as her current best friend. The bell conveniently rang and the slumped teacher lazily dismissed the class. All the students left the classroom in pairs and groups, as they chatted on their way out. As Delaney was cleaning out her desk for the last time, she was approached by a large silhouette. She looked up and squealed out, much to her half-asleep teacher's shock.

"DAD!"

"Hey little rose." - her father responded in his typical rough voice. Deuce Miller was a well-built man in his late thirties. His face was very typically manly: a square jaw, frowned mouth and bushy eyebrows. His eyes were very narrow, telling of his and Delaney's asian heritage. His black hair was slicked back and he had a slight stubble, which went with his relatively high cheek bones. Despite his age he was very handsome and his tailored suit and expensive watch made him even more attractive. He jokingly smirked as he hugged his daughter tightly. After a few seconds they both ended the embrace. Her father regained his masculinity and demanded "Wait for me in the car, I have something to discuss with Mr. Lester ."

Delaney obliged as she smoothly slipped out of the classroom, throwing one last glare at the classroom she visited so many times. Her eyes darted around the room as they stopped at her old desk which she longingly blinked at and with a smile she finally left the room.

The youngest of the Millers made her way to her locker, which was right next to Lux's. She unlocked her locker and her gaze was immediately shifted towards her mirror. A boy with a mask was behind her. 'How original' she mumbled.

With a sigh she turned around, resulting in the slightly taller boy taking off his werewolf mask. With a single look, she recognized him - Explorer. Her bigger brother. His goofy grin always made her laugh, and the pair stood beside each other giggling.
