Zeus' P. O. V
"How do you propose we solve this problem? I mean we all want to be in charge of something but obviously I should be in charge considering I'm the oldest." Poseidon said.
"You use that excuse for everything, 'I should be in charge of the plan to get rod of our father for good, because I'm the oldest' get over yourself." Hades countered.
Having enough of my brothers bickering I finally interjected. "Both of you need to get over yourselves. Do you know how frustrating it is to listen to that? " I say. "For three days streight." I add for good measure. "What if we divided it into three parts the sea, the sky and heaven would be combined and of course the underworld? " I say.
"But how would we decide who rules what?" My brother Poseidon asks.
Simple enough we draw straws. The biggest will be the sky and heaven and whoever gets that shall be the king of all Gods. The middle will be the sea, and the smallest of course will be Tartarus."
"Alright." They say in unison. I have Demeter oversee the straws and make sure we didn't cheat. "All right boys this is how its going to work, you have to reach through the plants in order to draw. Remember on the count of three draw, and keep mind afterwards its final." She explained.
"Ready?" She asked and we all nodded.
"One, two, three." When she reached that last number our hands shot into the pile of plants before us. Eww, I think, a tomato or something broke, there's slimy everywhere. I feel one of the straws and immediately grab it and pull it out. Hades pulls his out and we sit there waiting on Poseidon to grab his. When he finally pulls his hand out of the pile of plants. Demeter walked over to compare the straws. "Zeus has the longest straw, so therefore he gets the sky and heaven. Obviously. But along with that he's our king, or leader now. Which ever you guys prefer. Hades has drawn the smallest straw and that means he's going to be the ruler of the underworld, and Poseidon of course is now ruler of the sea. Now can I please get back to my plants? " she asked.
I nod and tell her to go ahead.
Hades' P. O. V
After I left Mt. Olympus I can't help but to think about how everything is unfair. We could have at least let those who would be our subjects vote, but eitherbway I would have ended up with this dump. In charge of the dead and the lost.
This is just great. Now everyone will be frightened, and all because they'll misunderstand me. I think. Its not fair.
Poseidon P. O. V
Its not great but its not bad either I think I'm going to be able to live with this. Its nice, cooler than normal. Its simple. Nice yet lonely.
