As Peter had gotten better, he had convinced his mother and father to let him go out as Spider-Man. After they reluctantly agreed, Tony and Peter started to make a suit in the lab. It was red and blue with technological properties. It even had an AI Peter helped make called KAREN.
For the next few weeks, Peter had become Spider-Man, feeling more comfortable with his spider powers and fighting skills. The crime rates of New York went down significantly, even in that short time. Peter would even occasionally go on YouTube to see what people thought of him. Most people liked him, a few disliked him though.
Peter was also becoming more and more comfortable with people, even go so far as calling the Avengers his Aunt and Uncles. He even started calling Natasha "Mama Spider". Peter had yet to call Bucky "dad" but that was just a matter of time.
Because of those reasons, Peter stood before the Avengers with his proposal. He was nervous, an emotion he rarely had felt before. "I want to go to school."
The Avengers stopped goofing around at that. They looked at Peter, as if deciding whether or not Peter was joking. After seeing he wasn't, there were some sighs in the room.
"Hear me out!" Peter said before they could start. "I've become better at being social and I feel like a need real experience. You can watch me all day, but give me a chance at least. If I can face crooks, and even hold my own against a few Avengers, high school won't be my biggest challenge. And before you say I can be home schooled, know that one day you guys won't be here for me. I'll be alone and if I don't do this now, I'll never learn to be independent."
The Avengers nodded seeing the points. But the decision was ultimately Natasha and Bucky's. Peter was their kid after all, so it was their choice.
After some thinking, and Peter internally freaking out, Natasha and Bucky said they'd give Peter one week. If he didn't like it, and he had to be honest with them, Peter would be home schooled by the Avengers. If not, they could continuously go. But Peter could call quits whenever, and if he needed a day without school, they'd be okay with that. But being Spider-Man couldn't interfere with school.
Peter was more than happy to accept the agreements. When Peter was little, he actually dreamed of going to school. It may sound weird, but when torture was your entire life, normal things like school were more like a dream that a reality.
The next day, conveniently being Monday, Peter got dressed in jeans and a terrible pun shirt. He ate a quick breakfast, and went to get on the bus to school. He didn't want to show up in one of the fancy cars that the Avengers owned (or the weird purple van Clint had).
Peter went into school with a goofy grin on his face. A student named Ned showed him around, and the two quickly became friends, bonding over their love of Star Wars and Legos. Peter had discovered those over the past few weeks, so he didn't know all the theories. The two teens became best friends fairly fast, seeing as they both had never had friends before.
Peter went through his classes, mostly hanging out with Ned, but he met a girl named MJ who he respected. MJ wasn't a stereotypical girl and Peter had a small crush on the girl who called him and Ned "loser".
But with good luck came the bad. And this bad luck took the form of a boy called Flash. This Flash character hated Peter, without even knowing him. But Peter took the physical and emotional beatings, thinking that he had the advantage of fast healing while other kids didn't. Peter could handle the beatings, the abuse being like getting hit by a baby compared to HYDRA.
Other than Flash, Peter enjoyed school. He had made a new best friend, and even got his first crush. Classes were relatively easy. So Peter decided he would stay at school.
