Prologue
Faun, a world of life and wonder. It is an expansive world with a seemingly infinite plane. Creatures, unlike any other stalk the earth, sea, and sky. The most notable of these creatures and the most advanced of which are humans. While not as strong as an elephant, nor as resilient as an ox, they are by far the most dominant life form to exist in this world.
These humans have divided themselves into multiple nations and ethnicities with their own cultures and beliefs. From the Muslim bandits in the southwest, to the pagan raiders along the northern coasts, and from the tranquil Xianese monks, to the war torn Auldians father north, humans come in all sorts of variety and breeds.
Our story begins on the Forean Peninsula, the former lands of the Folken Kingdoms. Theses seven tribes united under a shared confederacy aimed to improving their way of life. Alas these kingdoms' prosperity would not last forever.
Just to the east, far beyond the Emerald Mountains was Auldia, a war torn, hungry nation with a weakened king. It was a surprise to see them grow in strength. As if it happened in a day, they're military grew extensively and their cities began to rise up. However, they were far from defensive.
Auldia, renamed to Emperion, spread across the continent of Ramulous like a cancer. Once it reached the Folken Kingdoms blood filled every river in Forea. The Folks, though have fought bravely, fell to Emperion's iron fist and with it all seven royal families were executed. All but one of the Forean royals. A young princess, daughter of King George Lubeslaw of New Virginia, managed to escape death and disappear into the woods.
Both Catholic priests and magi have agreed that one day, her grandchild will take back the Folken lands and free their people from tyranny. But for now the Folks wait, and wait, and wait for their king or queen to return...
