Bartholomew (one hour after Mona wakes up) 22 hours left-

I look over the woman sitting across from me at the small round table, who is first, playing with her hair, or cleaning her glasses, or looking around. I was extremely bored, so I got an idea for some fun.

Mona's sigh brings me out of my thoughts and I watch her take her glasses off and begin to clean them, again. 'Here we go,' I think to myself quickly reaching over and grabbing her glasses and pulling them towards me before she can even fathom what I just did.

Her eyes are a lot bigger without her glasses, it's kind of weird, I almost gave back her glasses because of how big her chocolate eyes were, but I didn't, I actually kind of started to get lost in them, man I hope she didn't notice me looking at her eyes.

"What are you doing you gorilla?" She says, I had to do a double take,

"gorilla? Really?" I ask watching her eyes wander around me.

"Yes you gorilla, give me my glasses, I can't see!" She exclaims reaching for my arm but I move back quickly and smirk.

"So, Velma, how bad are your eyes?" I taunt her watching as she reaches around, probably for something to throw at me but stops after I call her Velma.

"Did you really just refer to Scooby Doo? And yeah I have bad eyes, I can't see past here" She says putting her hand about 8 inches away from her face.

"That's pretty bad, so do you want your glasses back?" I say waving her glasses about a foot away from her in another taunting manor. She sighs loudly and looks up at my face with her big chocolate eyes. Again I'm getting lost, crap, I'm NOT falling for 4-eyes over here. Never, nope.

'Maybe a little?' I hear in the back of my head but quickly shake it off. I don't even know her, or what she does, or what she like or doesn't.

"Bart, just give my my glasses dude." She says slowly as she stands up in front of me.

I again, did a double take, "Bart? Dude?"

She rolls her eyes and says, "Your name is a mouth full so I'm gonna call you Bart, and I call everyone dude. Now, give me my glasses." She says holding out her right hand expecting me to obey her.

Does she know who she's dealing with?

"Hmmm, let me think, no!" I say backing up and walking over to the bathroom putting the glasses on the sink and sauntering back to where she was, she's still standing there, but now she's hugging herself, weird.

Now I feel a pang of guilt walking towards her, she jumps when I touch her arm.

I look down at her in some what concern but brush it off, she's probably messing with me. 'Then again, maybe not.' That thought made me look at her again, she's now looking at the floor, she looks like she's shaking a bit, shit I'm horrible.

I run back to the bathroom and grab her glasses and rush back to her, but I trip and her glasses fall infront of her.

I get up slowly looking at her feet, not noticing her head had turned to look at me, "you okay?" She shakily says stepping towards me, crushing her glasses in the process. I wince and look up at her face, she goes pale and her eyes widen and starts murmuring 'no'.

I immediately get up and rush to her as she slowly picks her foot up and looks down at the broken lenses and frame.

She starts shaking more and begins breathing quicker. "Hey, I'm really sorry Mona, are you alright?" I say quietly reaching over and touching her arm.

She begins to panic, her breathe faster, shaking harder. I don't know what to do but watch, until her knees drop from beneath her and begins to fall.

I quickly wrap an arm around her and pick her up 'bridal style' and walk her to the bed. She stopped shaking when I grabbed her, but her breathing was still fast.

I slowly put her down and turn away to clean up her glasses on the floor, but she grabs my arm and whispers, "don't leave."

I look at her with sorrowfull eyes, knowing I did that, I cause that, her panic attack and her to be scared, I caused that.

Even though I don't know why she was so scared, I felt like she would tell me I mean, we are spending the next 22 hours together. I sit down on the bed next to her and she seems to calm down.

"Why are you scared? You can still kind of see, it's not like I'm gonna hurt you when you can't see or anything." Once those words left my mouth I notice her eyes widen, I definitely hit a nerve.

"I'll have to do some explaining I'm sure, but I can't right now. Please?" She begs looking at me. I nod slowly and we just sit there for an hour, saying and doing nothing.

After an hour we have 21 hours left, thanks to the giant countdown clock on the wall.

I hear her sigh and watch as she sits up and looks at me,

"Okay, I'm ready."

'Here we go,' I think to myself waiting for her to continue.
