(Taylor pov)
Today I was let out of hospital. I was in there for 4 days and during that time I had healed pretty well. Nurse Darby told me to take it easy and to be careful. I walked to the woods on the edge of Jasper. It was my quiet place. I sat down in the mini meadow I found and took out my drawing book. I wasn't that good. But I liked to do this. It was relaxing.
The sound of jets above me disturbed my relaxation. They landed just outside the entrance to the meadow.

(Megatron pov)
"Is there any energon here starscream? Or is this another ruse of yours?" I asked impatiently. He pointed to a blanket of leaves. "It's through there sir" he said. I moved the leaves and saw a human lying on the grass. "The human?" I whispered. He nodded. It was impossible that this human had energon. Or maybe she's lying on top of some that's buried beneath her. Nah that sounds worse. "Soundwave? Send lazerbeak immediately" I ordered through our comms. A few minutes later a small portal opened and lazerbeak flew through it. "Soundwave. Have lazerbeak scan this human. She's where the energon signal is coming from" I ordered.

(Taylor pov)
I glanced at the robots speaking about me. They honestly have no idea I can see and hear them. -they are decepticons. Stay away from them- primus warned. -okay- I replied. I stood up and packed my stuff away. I walked to the far side of the meadow and out the secret entrance. I bolted after that. I ran all the way to Jasper. They must have know I would. I could heard a small jet engine in the distance. Coming closer towards me. I was just on the outskirts of the small town when I small drone came in front of me. "You must be lazerbeak. Hi!" I greeted. I walked towards him. "What are you doing all the way out here? Shouldn't you be with your master? What's his name again? Was it soundwave?" I asked. Lazerbeak began gently nudging me away from Jasper. "Ok. I got it. Don't go home yet. Ok" I said. He stopped judging me. A blueish green portal opened and the two figures from before steeped out of it. "Well done lazerbeak. You found her" The tall grey and purple one said. I grabbed lazerbeak and held him close to my chest. As if he was a comfort blanket or a teddy bear. I stroked the metal gently so he calmed down. "Lord Megatron. This human definitely has energon on her. I don't see where though" the small scared looking one said. I subtly made the earth beneath his feet move, he fell on his aft. I quietly snickered. "Umm hi. I'm taylor. What is energon?" I asked. -life blood and food source- primus said. "Energon is everything to us. We consume it and it flows through us" Megatron informed. "So kinda like what food and blood is for me?" I asked. He nodded. I sighed. Still gently holding lazerbeak. Who didn't seem to complain. He was just staring at my necklace. I let him go. And I covered my mouth with my hands. "So I take it you're gonna take me with you until you can find this energon?" I asked. He nodded again. "Can I collect a few things from my house first?" I asked. "You don't want me whining and annoying you all now do you?" I added.

(Megatrons pov)
This human is willing to come with us. As long as she gets to collect some stuff from her house? That's new. Normally human scream and try to run. This one must be broken. Perhaps it's the energon. I looked at her and scanned her form. There it is. Right around her neck. The energon. It's been shaped into a 'heart' as the human call it. I didn't bring it up. I knew shockwave and soundwave would have my answers. "Lazerbeak escort this human to her house. And keep her there until another bridge opens" I ordered. Lazerbeak did a few flips in the air. Almost like he was happy to be with the human. I'd had better appoint soundwave her watcher then. That way this human femme can be less annoying. Taylor, as she called herself, and lazerbeak walked off towards Jasper. I followed in the air. Just below the cloud bank so I could see them. They seemed to be having a conversation.

(Taylor's pov)
"So your soundwaves minicon?" I asked. He flipped in the air. That meant yes. "And you have to obey everything he says?" Another flip. "Where's the freedom? The ability to think for yourself? You're a caged bird lazerbeak. Caged. And not allowed out without a leash" I stated. He dropped a few inches. "You're sad" he flew into my arms. I stroked his frame gently. "I didnt mean to make you upset. But what I said is true. Isn't it?" He nuzzled me. "We are almost there. Five more minutes" I stated. -you feel sorry for him don't you?- primus asked. -of course I do. If he was mine I would let him fly around and I wouldn't keep him locked up- I stated. -he could be. You have these gifts for a reason- he informed. "Hey lazerbeak?" I asked. More nuzzling. "If you had the option to have a new owner/master, would you take it?" I asked. He stopped nuzzling me. I looked down at him. "Say I wanted to be your new owner. Would you say yes?" I added. He took a moment to think. I could tell whoever he belonged to was forcing him to say no. He nuzzled me again. "So that's a yes?" I asked. More nuzzling. -how do I make him mine?- I asked. -focus your power. He has a sliver of soundwaves spark. So will that piece to return to him. And then make a new piece. Just for lazerbeak- he informed. I stopped walking as we had reached my house. I walked inside and locked the door. "Ok. Let's do this" I sighed. I set him down on the table and sat on a chair in front of him. "I'm gonna cover your eyes so they can't see what I'm about to do" I informed. I took the cloth from the table and covered his face. I began to concentrate. I thought about the small spark inside him and how it didn't belong to him. I thought about him and how free he could be. I heard a small noise. I moved the cloth and saw that all the lights on him were out. -the sliver is gone. Look up- he said. I looked up and saw a small purple light. I caught it. And put it in a jar. I touched the spot just above my heart. I began to visualise the bright red and purple spark primus put inside me. My hand started to glow and in it was a small sliver of my spark. -well done my daughter. You're a natural- he praised. I put the small sliver of my spark above lazerbeak. He absorbed it. The lights flickered back on.

(New pov. Lazerbeak)
I powered back on. What did this human do to me? I felt different. Good different. Like all the chains that where tying me down had broken. And I was free. "Ok beaky. I'm gonna give you a new name. And a small set of rules. Not to many I promise. Just the basic ones. 1: If you plan on leaving my side be home when the sun sets. So the last light of day. That's about 8pm. 2: Don't destroy my house. 3: I still have my last year of school. So if your coming with me your gonna have to stay in my backpack. These are my rules. They are easy to follow. Aren't they?" She asked.

(Taylor pov)
He came close to me and nuzzled my hand. "Now. A new name. I'll say some names. And you nuzzle my hand if you like one of them ok? So. Let's see. Neon? David? Frank? Aspen?-" He nuzzled my hand. "Aspen?" He nuzzled my hand again. "Well then. Welcome to your life Aspen. Your new life." I stated. "Now. Let's pack a few things before they get here." I stated. I grabbed two backpack and began to fill them. One of the was for food. Pot noodles mostly. Dry Krave cereal. And an electric kettle. I added a few bottles of water too. In the other bag I packed clothing and baby wipes. I packed a suitcase with pillows and fluffy cosy blankets. And a stuffed teddy incase I got lonely. "Ok. Let's go" I stated. I put one backpack on my back. And carried the other with my suitcase. I walked outside. "So when are they—" a portal opened. So I walked through it. I was on a ship. I looked around. Aspen followed me through and stayed by my side.

(Soundwave pov)
I watched the human and lazerbeak come through the portal. I summoned lazerbeak to me. But he didn't move. He just stayed by her side. That's odd. I tried again. And nothing. I walked over to the human. "Hi. I'm taylor. You must be soundwave" she greeted. Well at least she was smart. I plucked her from the ground and put her in my open hand. Her necklace was definitely energon. "Lazerbeak— follow" I ordered through my recording. He didn't even flinch. "Oh let me. Sweetie. Come here" she said. And he flew up to her. I was star struck. How was that even possible. "Here" she handed me a jar. In the jar was a small purple light. I scanned it. And nearly dropped the jar. It was the sliver of my spark I had given to lazerbeak on his creation day. How is he still functioning. "Aspen. You have to behave on this ship. Ok" she told him. So thats what happened. She has a spark and a heart. One inside the other no doubt. I was fuming though. How dare she take my only surviving minicon away from me. I was tempted to kill her. But Megatron ordered me to take her to shockwave. I walked to the lab and opened the door. "Is the human with you soundwave?" Megatron asked. "Yes- And She- has done- something despicable" I said with recording. "And what would that be?" He asked. A showed him the scan of the jar. And pointed to Aspen. My former minicon. "She did what?!!" He shouted. "I freed him" she stated.
