"How much have we earned this month secretary Kim? Was there a raise?"

I talked as I fixed my handbag, on my way to sign some papers at the government.

"Yes Chairwoman Nam, there was a raise, it was precisely 3.1% higher"

I stopped abruptly, my cream high heels giving a squeak.

"M'am?"

I turned around to face my secretary, "Ms.Kim" I spoke with a blank, somewhat cold voice/face.

"Yes?"

"What did I say?" I lost my calm "I said that this months raise had to be more than 5%! And you telling me that it hadn't even reached it! What are we going to do about the taxes?!! I cannot afford to be the second place this year again!"

My secretary stayed silent.

"Cancel it" I spat

"Pardon?"

"Cancel it!" I repeated, louder "today's schedule. I'm having an urgent meeting with all the team leaders and office managers. No- call everyone at the company, I want all the offices empty, I want everyone at the big hall, jeguem, tanghjjan, right now! (All those meant 'right now')"

His POV:

I stapled my fingers together, my eyebrows furrowed, I was about to lose it, and I knew only too well.

"So, any ideas yet?"

I have been staring at them for the past 30 minutes, but no one had said a word yet.

"I asked a question" I growled, my temper getting hotter, I stared at the team leader, "Mr. Jung?" I suggested.

A bead of sweat formed on his forehead, and a slight shiver ran through his spine.

"Nae? (Pardon?)"

The employee next to him whispered something in his ear and a look of recognition flashed across his face.

He cleared his throat and said the stupidest thing that I have ever heard in my life;

"Not many I'm afraid Mr. Kim, but we could lower the prices to get higher sales, with that-"

I interrupted him as I banged my fist on the table, "are you for real?" I yelled, finally flipping, "we only produced it last week and you already want to lower the charge?!! What will people think of JYS? The world has high hopes in us, we can't disappoint the public"

"But sir-"

I pushed the mic away from me forcefully, causing it to squeak loudly, then I looked at my secretary who sat at my left and said; "fire him"
