Work.

That was the only thing that I could lose myself with.

So that was the solution that I went with.

Working 24/7 without food or rest.

Strangely it was relaxing and I never felt tired.

I simply cannot live in a world where my grandmother doesn't exist, so it better for me to die and follow her this way.

~

"CEO Nam" my secretary called me from the door "the team working on the new opera hall are in hospital with food poisoning"

"All of them?" I asked

"Yes" Ms. Kim replied "apparently they had expired rice cakes last night"

"Give me the files" I ordered, holding out my hand "and delay the PT for a few hours, I'll do it myself"

My secretary moved forward to give me the planners but they were snatched out of her hand before I could touch them.

"No, delay the darn PT for a few days and have the team leader do it... That's an order"

I looked up to give the speaker a what-the-hell-do-you-think-yourself-are look.

Jin quickly shooed my secretary out and then grabbed my wrist, dragging me to the coffee table and sofas in the corner of my room.

He sat me down with force and steadied my shoulders with his hands from behind me.

"Excuse me, what do you think your doing CEO Kim?" I demanded formally.

"Whatever I want CEO Nam" he replied

"Let me go right now" I ordered "or else you'll get it from me"

"Do you think I'm scared of you? I bet you can't even walk on your own, look at how your body has become. You'r all bones and skin"

"Shut the fuck up" I snarled, forcing his hands off me and standing up.

He was right, I was way too weak for anything.

I forced myself to walk without stumbling back to my desk, but my ankles gave up on me before even coming close to my goal.

I fell down with a cry of pain and dropped my head in despair and embarrassment.

"Look at you" Jin sighed "you'r simply amazing Nam Sanghee"

He walked over to me and slipped his arms under me, lifting me up bridal style. He sat me down once again on the sofa and handed me a paper bag which he had brought.

He took out a cold coffee and a plate of sushi.

Smoked salmon sushi.

My favorite.

I would usually eat tons of it, but even looking at it now made me want to vomit.

I gave him a blank stare, suddenly remembering the salmon that my grandmother used to make for me.

"Please just eat a little bit of this" Jin spoke "I'm begging you Sanghee"

"I got it so go" I replied, feeling my eyes burning with tears.

"Okay" Jin nodded "but you have to eat"

I closed my eyes and faced away from him, feeling the warm tears pouring down my cheeks. And all I heard was my office door shutting.

As soon as Jin was gone, I opened my eyes and slowly got up. Supporting myself by holding onto the back of the sofa, I grabbed the sushi and coffee and threw them in the bin, immediately feeling a tiny notch better.

Authors note: You may think that Sanghee is a bitch in this chapter but please do try and understand, she lost her grandmother, the only person that she had and loved. It's not simple at all.

And I'm so sorry for the while that I left you guys cold and I thank everyone who's patient enough to bear with me. Please vote and comment, let me know about what you like and dislike in my ff.

And my cat died suddenly so I've been to wrapped up to update.. 😢

love y'all! 💟
