French Revolution

There's a pain that's never leaving

There are red stains on the floor

From the people who've stopped bleeding.

But kings are still the law

In that lonely barricade

Revolution was the cause

As the mothers prayed

While their sons talked of tomorrow

But their world never stayed

My life's now full of sorrow

Cause it was here we lit the flame

Now I live on the days I borrow

I could never give a name

All the sacrifice for nothing

And this world that stayed the same.
