Lauren's POV

"She hasn't come out of her room all day," Jc told me as he let me into their apartment.

"Did she say anything to you?" I asked.

He had called me and asked me to come over and see if I could get Y/n to come out of her room. He said something about her getting upset yesterday, which was weird because she was fine when she left after we went eat.

"No, not since yesterday afternoon," he explained.

"Well, what did she say yesterday afternoon?" I asked, making him fidget slightly.

"We were uhh... talking," he started. "About you?"

"Are you telling me or asking me?" I asked.

"Well, it wasn't all about you. It was about you and her and... uh... okay. I told her that you two should be together," he finally spilled.

"Fuck. I told you to stop bringing that up, J," I whisper yelled.

"Look, I'm sorry, but you know you're in love with that girl," he said.

"Shut the fuck up. She might hear you," I told him.

"I don't care. She likes you too and you won't believe me," he said, throwing his hands up.

"Look, you don't know that. She's never said that before, and right now she's upset because of it. So, drop it," I told him. "I'm going check on her."

I walked towards her room, knocking slightly and entering when I didn't get an answer.

"Y/n?" I questioned as I looked and saw a lump under the comforter.

I closed the door and walked over to her, only to see she was sleeping. I let out a sigh as I climbed into the bed and rubbed her back.

She continued to stay sleeping as I laid my head down and stopped rubbing her back, only for her arm to reach out and grab mine, nudging me to continue my previous motions.

I laughed as I grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to me, smiling when I heard her loud giggles.

"I thought you were sleeping," I said as she cuddled close to me and I began rubbing her back again.

"I thought you were Jc, so I pretended to be," she mumbled, making me laugh.

"Why are you so mad at him?" I asked.

I heard her sigh before she looked up at me.

"He told me something yesterday and I kind of overreacted," she told me vaguely.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked.

"Not really..." she trailed off.

That kind of hurt.

She never wanted to talk about anything that had to do with us being in a relationship. That was the main reason I didn't believe Jc when he told me she liked me.

"Can you just hold me?" She asked sweetly.

Well, I didn't believe him, and then she would say things like that and that little ball of hope in my chest would grow.

I didn't know what to think anymore, but regardless of how I felt, or she felt, I did what I always did.

"Sure," I smiled, wrapping my arms around the girl and kissing her forehead lightly.
