'The robots that we know now are nothing as the first ones. The first robots were created back around the year 1956 to help people win wars. They were used for work such as production of weapons or clothes for soldiers. Later, they were enhanced and sent out into war which turned out to be a savior and helped ending all wars around the whole world. Soon, robots became the most wanted 'ware' and replaced all kinds of machines in many comporations.
Nowadays, robots are very different from what they used to be. They are no longer viewed as a simple manpower. However, they live among us as normal people. On the first sight you wouldn't recognize a robot from a regular human. Robots are just like people. They work like people, they look like people, they even act like one. The only difference between us, is that robots can't feel anything. They don't feel pain nor anger nor love. That's why they don't have families.
Yes, they will talk to you, make a small talk or have a dinner with you but they will never feel any kind of attachement towards you. At least, not sincerely. Yes, robots have many different types of 'programs' inside of themselves. Thanks to them, they can talk to you like a normal human would, they will make friends with you.
Because of that programs, they will 'pretend' all of these different feelings towards you which will make you think like you are actually talking to a real human. But it's impossible for them to feel these emotions honestly because they don't have a 'soul'. The scientists that specialize on creating or robots, had described the term 'robot soul' as a 'free will that makes a difference between humans and robots.'
Many people tried and are still trying to fight for robots' rights and for the change of the definition of robot soul, however, ineffectually. Interesting is, that robots themselves don't feel any kind of opression and don't try to fight for their rights even if others do.
The last topic that I want to talk about is, for many people, very controversial. Scientists, in the collaboration with robots, are trying to evolve the program of robots even more. Their main goal is obviously to make both of our races as similar as possible. Especially, when it comes to feelings. It is indeed, a very controversial topic but maybe one day we won't even know a difference between a robot and human. We will make real friendships with them, date them or even start families with them. But that is, at least for now, a very distant future and if you belong in the group od controversy, then you can stay pretty calm for the next few decades or maybe even for a whole century.'
Ryan Geller, the robots specialist, for the Daily News.Sasuke finished reading the article, folded the newspaper and set it aside. He took a sip of his morning coffee and chuckled to himself, robots huh.
It seemed pretty absurd to Sasuke, starting families with them. How could that even be possible? Sasuke's experience with robots wasn't even that bad but he just couldn't imagine even being friends with one of them.
For Sasuke, it was always hard to make friends with others. Not that he wouldn't be capable of making connection with people but it was hard for him to trust someone untill he knew them very well. That was also why he didn't have many friends even now, just a few very close friends. But still sometimes he felt kind of lonely as if something was still missing. He couldn't explain any of that feeling of loneliness but sometimes, in a group full of friends, he felt as if he had a very empty place inside of his chest, he just couldn't get rid of.
His phone rang, making him jump with surprise which ended by spilling most of his coffee on his clean suit. Fuck, Sasuke cursed under his breath as he rubbed on the brown coffee stain on his fresh white shirt. He owned many of them but still it pained him seeing the beautiful clear white tainted by his black morning coffee.
