Cynwrig after being yelled at was bewildered that his father was not happy to see that Cookie was alive. He yelled again "GET THAT DOG OUT NOW!" Cynwrig responded with "Bu-But why?" Then they heard a voice that none of them recognized "There are people down in there let's go" Cookie growled "Shh down boy" Cynwrig whispered to Cookie, Cynwrig's father whispered "Everyone Hide!" Everyone nodded and hid in the places they made just in case the mutant beast would find their basement. Cookie was not so lucky though as he did not know the hidden places. The people kick down the trapdoor and Cookie bark at the top of his lungs, "SHOOT THAT DOG!!" A man ordered his friends "Yes sir" they responded and there were gunshots and Cookie whimpering, Cynwrig stay silent but on the inside, he was crying his eyes out. "I just want this to end," he thought as the men left and everyone came out of their hiding spots and all cried. Cookie was there lying on the floor three bullet holes in his side blood leaking out of each of them, "COOKIE!" Cynwrig whimpered "Well that's one less mouth to feed I suppose," said his father who was the only one who was not crying but Cynwrig knew he cried on the inside. "I still remember the first time I saw his smile," said Cynwrig's dad.
