I ran out of his room bringing his doctor back in. He checked all of Niall's vitals and said he was fine.

"I am afraid there's some bad news." He dropped on us suddenly.

"W-what is it?" I asked, quivering my lip. I squeezed Niall's hand tightly.

"The accident caused a severe spinal injury. He has a very low chance of being able to walk again."

Niall looked terrified. Like he'd seen a ghost.

"Wait.. so, you're telling me.. I can't walk anymore? Ever?"

"I wouldn't say ever. It's possible you could get your walking ability back, but you would need to go through several therapy sessions."

"We can do that.. Right, Ni?"

"I guess we could try...." He said with a disappointed tone in his voice. I gave him a sympathetic look and rubbed his back. The doctor shook our hands and walked out. I then heard a sniff come from Niall's direction. He was quietly crying.

"Niall? What's wrong..?"

"I-I can't walk..."

"It's only for now, baby.. You'll be able to walk again.. I promise.."

"What if I can't?!"

"Then just be grateful you're alive!!" I yelled. He looked at me then looked down.

"You're right... I should be grateful I'm still here..."

I sat next to him and gave him a big hug.

"Don't worry... I believe in you.. I know you can do this, baby..."

He smiled and hugged back.

"Thank you, princess.."

I gave him a quick kiss on his forehead and buried my face in his neck.

"I'm so happy you didn't leave me.."

"I never would... I love you too much to leave you behind, my love..."

He laid back and pulled me in his arms, holding me tighter. Tighter than he ever has before. I think he was afraid.. Afraid I'd leave him.. But I would never do that.. Never in a million years.
