Chapter 2: Fate of Tomorrow

In the year 4463, In the city of Endlessness the capital of the clan known as Murcia. Something was brewing deep inside the town. "The Famine" or better known as "The Death". Not only the famine but also something darker is going to happen.

Xash of 28th, the month of Pivuts.

In the capital, the city was dread with despair and death. The lustful color of the city was now dull and lifeless. The city was surrounded by moat and walls made of stone, in the area with castles and monastery, small houses. This place used to be so lively and full of colors but now it was lifeless where happiness wasn't spare at all. And where the undertakers carried the dead, dressed all in white stained with blood and dirt, even their white mask with a sad face was stained with the blood of the dead. They were loading the bodies in a wagon, child and father, mother, sister. Carrying those who were deceased to their resting place. Death doesn't discriminate who should die or not. The future appeared bleak and dark with the rise of the famine. It was hard for the monarchy and the church trying to figure out what to do next with their population went down from sixty percent. Leaving four million left of the people. Only left is open to alliance with their neighboring clans.

Bibiana was listening as she leans against the doorway. The community and the church, the government was talking out loud one another. The room was filled with yelling and hollering from adults to kids. Describing their concerns about their kingdom's issues. The tanned girl with a brown girl and light blue eyes. Her eyes were shaped like an almond, arms crossed as her eyes watch them expressed their concerns.

"The population had dropped from ten million to four million from the famine, thanks to Emperor Dong coming to our town with his army, overpopulated our cities. Plus, the flooding, two years ago." said The Clerk. Holding a single sheet of paper in his hand, closing his eyes trying not to cry. His own family had perished, from his grandfather to his own child. His special little girl. His only child. Now he was all alone in this world. His voice cracks a little trying so desperately to calm his nerves.

"We lost over six million people over the course of two years. At first, it was a plague, it wasn't that bad. But the famine came, and it is causing us the most problems, the sudden collapse in the level of food. It was consumption of large numbers of people."

The King of this land listens to their cries as his sensitive brown eyes. Landed on his daughter than back to his people. Standing up from his seat, coughing loudly to get their attention. Everyone was quiet, his voice was deep yet dry.

"Calm down, everyone! We know this has been happening for two years! And we refuse for help for two long eyes! Now it the time for us to get help!" he stated.

They didn't want to ask for help but, they do need it. Leaving them no choice but to swallow their pride and accept defeat. Since they tried everything, and this is the only thing they'd left. The King told them to leave this instant, Bibiana was about to leave he told her to stay behind and closed the door after them. She waited for them to leave after the last one, she closed the door. Calmly walked over to her father with grace, hoping that she wasn't in trouble at all.
