   It was Squidmas Eve.
Flights were cancelled, roads and highways were closed, and parties had been postponed.
The biggest blizzard of the year decided to take place today.

It was 5:00 in the afternoon, and the skies were dark with the clouds that shrouded the city, dumping snow in every crack and crevice there was. Rider was sitting on his windowsill, looking out at the snow. His apartment room was on the seventh floor, so it gave him a nice view of the city.

Rider was thinking about what he was going to do. His plan was for his teammates to come over so they could watch cliché Squidmas movies while drinking hot chocolate. Things they used to do when they were thirteen and fourteen, for nostalgia's sake. Rider had also planned to come out to his teammates as gay, thinking it was the right time to do so. Unfortunately, Riders apartment was across town from theirs, and it wasnt safe for them to drive over in weather like this.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

Surprised by the sudden visit of someone unknown, and slightly irritated that his thoughts were interrupted, he walked over to the door.

'What the hell...' Rider muttered under his breath. He wasn't dressed in his usual attire, and he didnt want to be seen without it. He had a Wet Floor band tee on, having a liking for the band. His tentacles were down at shoulder length instead of his usual ponytail. He was wearing his usual shorts, though. The one Goggles always panstses((is that a word??)) him in...

Rider opened the door, surprisedly being greeted by an all too familar grin. It was Goggles.

"Hiya, Rider!" Goggles exclaimed. "May I come in?"

"Sure." Rider said, stepping a side to let Goggles in. He closed the door behind him. As he did, Goggles handed him a present.

"A gift for you! Merry Squidmas!" The box was neatly wrapped, with a bow on top. "Also," Goggles added "you look amazing with your tentacles down." He ended that sentence with a wink which dusted Rider's cheeks with a yellow-green blush. At that, Goggles blushed a bit as well.

"Whatever, thanks." Rider muttered. Goggles giggled at his reaction, and ran over to Riders couch. He plopped himself in the middle, flashing one of his cheesy smiles at Rider. Rider roled his eyes at him, and went to put his given gift under the tree. He decided he would open that one last.

Goggles took the remote on the small coffee table, and switched the television on to his Netflix channel. As Rider walked over to the couch, Goggles switched to a popular show called Inkopolis Nine-Nine.

"What's this show about ?" Rider asked, interested.
"Its about detectives! And police stuff! And it's super funny! I think you'd like it."

As Goggles made himself comfortable and continued to tell Rider about the show, Rider snuck an arm around his shoulders. Goggles stopped mid-sentence, paused for a second, and leaned into Rider's chest.

"You're all warm and muscule-y.." Goggles muttered. Rider smiled to himself, but chose to focus on the television.

❄️❄️❄️

As the evening dragged on and the silence was replaced by the pattering of snow against the window, Rider had left for a bit to make some hot chocolate for the two of of them.

As he walked in, two mugs filled to the brim with hot chocolate with whipped cream to top it off, Goggles had the television turned off. He looked like he was deep in thought, his ocean blue eyes squinting at the darkness of the television screen

He turned around as Rider approached with their hot chocolate, giving him a soft smile. Rider loved that smile more than anything else. in the world right now. That smile made him so happy. He really wanted to tell him that. That, despite the fact that Rider sees Goggles as embarrassing, Goggles brought so much joy in his life. Rider really wanted to...
