He and I stood outside our single story school building; white washed with marble floors and huge football ground sprinkled with a bit of nature. I wanted to boast it off but seeing the look on his face I decided to put it off.

"What's wrong?"

"I am not trying to be judgmental or anything.Isn't the structure too small?"

"Small town, fewer people. What did you expect?"

"Of course nothing too flashy but I mean its much smaller.Where would three swimming pools, basketball courts, music rooms grounds, banquet  hall fit in this."

"Right," I said momentarily fazed. " let's get going."

As we entered all eyes fell on us correction Jared. Girls started snickering checking him out. Some people tried to be nonchalant about it and failing completely. He ignored it and kept his pace.

"Hey, just walk down the hall and then turn left. Office will be on your right.  They will give you your schedule and anything you need to know or have.I have a little something I need to attend."

"Sure"he nodded "Later."

Leaving him there, I walked to the auditorium. My plan was to be discreet and enter through the back door but as I opened it, it screeched and howled so I ended up drawing all the attention to me.To hell with being discreet! I walked inside feeling awkward and could feel all the sympathetic eyes on me.  As his boots clicked on the floor I waited my doom.

"You are half an hour late."He said looming over me and then bended a  little "Mind telling us what happened?"

"Um.I am sorry"I gulped. "Aaron my car broke down."

"Should I buy that?" He asked

"I think you should."

"Then I won't,"He said stubbornly. "I need help with editing some scenes be there after school."

Aaron was the one person I failed to understand with grey eyes and blonde hair that were always messy he looked out for me like a brother ,lashed at me like a mom and during our drama practices he commanded us like an army lieutenant. I had known him practically all my life ( the life after my foster parents adopted me) but on the other hand he had that soft and gentle side of him that he rarely showed. He was directing a drama as his senior year project and was getting awfully cranky about it as the days approached. He was a bit of a perfectionist giving us all a hard time.We all had to get to school an hour earlier just for the sake of practices.

"Just go through your lines. I don't want you stumbling over them. I will have you on stage in five" and with that he walked off. I wasn't doing any leads but had a decent role. But there on the stage I forgot who I was I was no plain old Vera with a painful past and would only snap out of it when Aaron shouted "CUT" ( He liked to pretend as if we were directing an actual movie) . The thing I loved about acting is you could be anyone you want a; damsel in distress to a ninja clad in black. You could make your own little happy bubble and live in it.

Aaron was a literary genius and a Shakespearean fan.Mashing up all his famous work, he came up with something entirely new in the present age. In his view playing, Shakespeare was too mainstream.

"Be a good girl to me and don't end up ruining my drama. I mean I am warning you. You will die by my hands if you do. I haven't forgiven you for the last time either"Aaron said catching up to me after the practice had ended.

Did I mention that I ended up formatting his entire laptop along with his precious script when he made a mistake of asking me for a second opinion. He had to write it all over again
