"Hey where's Zach?" I asked Corbyn as I passed him in the hall at the venue that they would be performing at tonight.

"Check backstage" he told me and looked back down at his phone.

I walked on stage and the venue was freaking huge. It would hold about 2,000 fans if even more. I walked backstage and I seen Zach sitting on the couch on his phone.

"Zach" I spoke up catching his attention.

"Hey Madi" he stood up and begin walking over to me.

"Um, who...who is Loren?" I stuttered.

"Who?" He asked confused.

"Don't act all confused. You know what I'm talking about" I told him. "You lied to me" I was on the verge of tears and I don't know why. He's not mine.

"Madi, she's a friend and we just met up yesterday to hang out" he told me.

"You didn't have to lie to me. You know I asked you to hang out with me yesterday and you said you were hanging out with the boys. You lied."

"Me and Loren are just friends. And I didn't tell you because I already made these plans with Loren and I didn't want to turn you down by saying I'm hanging out with my other best friend. I don't know why your making a big deal about it. We're not dating." He told me and my heart broke at the end but his next words hurt me even more.

"We're just friends. Just friends" my heart shattered. I tried to hold back the tears that were about to start flowing.

"Yeah, sorry" I said and looked up at him. His eyes showed some type of emotion but couldn't make it out. I turned around and started to leave.

"Madi!" I heard him shout after me but I didn't turn around and just kept walking.

Now I just let the tears fall.

I don't know why I made a big deal out of it. We're just friends and that's all we're ever gonna be.
