Gradam: The Broken Chain

Part 1

Adam Ortiz was sweet when he was young. Always putting others first, the one you could get homework answers from even if they weren't right, and the one that could actually keep secrets safe. He tended to just keep in his close group of friends, never was really a tea kind of person. During the beginning of his freshman year of high school, Adam thought it was about time he told his friends his secret he's been holding on to for years- Adam had a huge crude sh on Gracie. Gracie was a chill girl, but never so much gave a second thought at his vague hesitations in front of her. This is gonna be the year Adam thought, trying to also think of a clever ways to brake the news to his group. His friends Jaiden and James came running from the lunch line with their lunches, almost tripping to sit down and share their new findings.
"What's going on?" Adam asked.
"Big tea!" James said, out of breath.
"Oh spill!" Said Tim, which sounded weird coming from him.
"So, I just heard from Yellow that she thinks Gracie likes someone, but she won't say who!" Said Jaiden.
Adam in that moment could only fantasize who Gracie's could possibly be into- James? No, Gracie and James were to best friends to be anything more. Tim? Everybody likes Tim, also she turned him down years ago, but just not me. Gracie barely knows I exist. My chances are hopeless...
"Adam!"
"Oh what's up? Sorry I was just thinking"
"Who do you think it is?" Said James.
"Uh, I don't know, Jax?" Adam just spat out the first thing in his mind, which was anything but his real opinion.
"Ew, really?" Said Jaiden
Adam suddenly released what he really said.
"Oh no, I didn't-
"It's ok Adam" Jaiden was a very apologetic person.
"He was just the first person that came to mind" Adam said somberly.
Adam came to the conclusion that he wanted to do this himself and didn't want any of his friends to tell him how to approve this.
