*Hayoung's P.O.V*
My friend, _______, has just left me to do the dishes with my crush, Lay. Ugh. I seriously hate her. Joking! Anyways, me and Lay started getting to work straight away. I tried to avoid eye-contact and just focused on the dishes.
"Hey Hayoung! I'll bring the dishes in. Can you start cleaning them?" Lay asks, startling me.
I nod and quickly rush inside with the dishes I am holding and turn on the tap. I look underneath me, to my right, and I find a dish-washer.
'Thank god! All I have to do is rinse these in water and put them in.'
Luckily, I knew how to use a dish-washer because we had one at home. I start rinsing them in cold water while Lay comes in slowly, carefully putting the dishes beside me. In the middle of rinsing a beautiful ceramic plate, ______ creeps up on me and scares me, almost making me drop and crack the plate. I'm just telling you, even though I can get scary and violent, I get scared easily so obviously when ________ crept up on me, I screamed, quite loudly actually. Lay came running in and so did Baekhyun but _______ was on the floor, rolling and not breathing because of her laughter that didn't seem to stop.
"YAH! ______! You are so dead... -.-" I say threatingly.
I almost let out my beast but since Lay was there, I didn't want to show him my ugly side. So, I remained calm. After I had finished all the dishes, I was about to get the cloth to clean the bench outside where we ate, but I guess Lay was thinking the same thing because when I touched the cloth to get it, someone's soft hand accidently brushed against mine and grabbed it.
"Oh, sorry. Here, I'll clean the bench." I say, trying so hard to not make my voice shake.
"No! It's alright! You did the dishes so I'll do the bench." he says with his ADORABLE smile.
"I used the dish-washer so that doesn't really count as doing 'the dishes'. I mean, you had to carry those heavy dishes inside here." I say trying not to show that his smile was killing me.
"Haha. They weren't that heavy. Don't worry, I'll do it. You look tired anyway, get some sleep." he replies as if he just read my mind. How did he know that I was tired? *AUTHOR'S NOTE: *GASP* UNICORN POWERS?!* As I turned to go to the bedroom, he went outside to clean the bench. As I was half-way to the bathroom, I heard him call my name.
"Hayoung-ah! I think ____ left her phone here!" he says.
Haaaaa. Typical _____. Always leaving something lying around. I go outside to get it but then Lay stares at me intently and says something that I have never heard a guy say to me, ever in my life: "Hmm. You're cute. I like it." It was so sudden! I mean who would say that so suddenly?!
I can feel my eyes getting big and I turn around, to see that he is smiling so big and he points to something. On Hayoung's unlocked phone, it says 'Be my girlfriend? Yes or yes. Kekeke<3'. I have that 'what?!' look on my face but then I change it to a 'this-is-a-joke-isn't-it?' look but he shakes his head. I slowly nod my head being careful to see if this is a prank and if Chen, my brother the trolling king, is hiding somewhere. Lay keeps staring at me like I'm a unicorn or something.
"I've been keeping an eye on you, Hayoung, at school, in class, on the way to and from school." he says, still staring at me.
"NOT IN THE CREEPY WAY!" he quickly adds, scratching the back of his neck. I smile. He's so friggin adorable.
He continues to explain, "Everytime I saw you my heart would be faster and my hands would start to sweat. I didn't know why, of course. Then I came to a conclusion: I liked you. Your voice was and still is the music to my ears, your eyes were like all the stars in the night-sky and my favourite thing about you is how you are not a girly-girl like every single other girl. I love how you have a passion for sport and how you don't care about what you wear, how you look, what shoes to wear, and thank god you don't flirt with guys, cause I HATE IT WHEN THEY FLIRT WITH ME!" he emphasizes the 'I HATE IT WHEN THEY FLIRT WITH ME!' as if he was trying to tell all the girls to stop. This, of course, made me giggle.
"It's true though. And I've been trying to get some courage and ask you but I couldn't seem to do it. But I thought that today was a good day to say it so..."
I try to look away because I'm blushing so much.
"See! I especially like it when you get nervous or embarassed. It's so cute!" he says, making me blush even more.
As if on cue, fireflies come out of the bushes and fly in the air, causing the air to glow and of course, much more romantic. I look up and then look back down to see that Lay has come closer to me.
"Naege sign eul jwo X or O?" he sings the line from EXO's XOXO.
I give him a small O out of my two hands and then turn it into a heart. He comes closer and gives me a hug under the fireflies and stars. It was such a good moment until ______ and Baekhyun came and scared the two of us and laughed while rolling on the grass. After they recovered, they congratulate us and we decide to call it a night. Once we are sure that the boys are sleeping next door, we start to fangirl (?) over me and Lay. Then at about 12am, we sleep because we are just too tired. I had a dream of Lay and I going on a date to the amusement park. It was good. Kekeke. He got scared in the haunted house bit. It was cute.
