Chapter 14

As a result of what I said, a good number of the visitors grumbled. I did not pay attention to them because I did not really care about them; nonetheless, they needed to discover the fact that Prince Javier's destined mate was me!

I noticed that Alpha Bernard was looking at Prince Javier, and I also noticed that he was gesturing to his son. I was freed by Prince Javier, who then returned to the stage and stared at me intently after he walked on.

"Tell me, Javier, is it true what Gabriella said, that she is your destined mate?" Alpha Bernard asked his son.

"I want you to tell me the truth." Alpha Bernard demanded him about it.

"What she said is not even close to being true, Dad!" Prince Javier has chosen to decline.

"When I came back here in the Bloodlust Pack, she had already shown interest in me, but because I knew Princess Amanda is my destined mate, I didn't pay attention to her," he continued.

Because of what Prince Javier was saying, my eyes suddenly became much larger.

"What she stated couldn't be further from the truth, Alpha Bernard!" I raised my voice to defend myself.

"In recent days, she attempted to seduce me, but I rebuffed her advances even though she was trying to impose herself on me. She made a lot of attempts, but she was never successful!" He was lying.

The lies that Prince Javier was speaking caused my heart rate to quicken, my feet and hands to shake, and my breathing to become more labored. I find it hard to imagine that he was capable of lying.

Alpha Bernard stared at me and then questioned me, "Gabriela, is what Javier stated true?" he asked me.

"No...what Prince Javier said is not true in any way, Alpha Bernard!" My response to him was riddled with stuttering.

"Because she is so determined to be my mate, Dad, she won't confess it. She has her sights set on becoming my Luna and moving up the ranks from Omega to Luna!" The response came from Prince Javier.

"She went on to say that if she were my Luna, she would fulfill all of her desires, including splurging on luxury items and taking exotic vacations all over the world. She merely desired authority and advancement in her work; she had no other goals." he used to make stories to break me.

Alpha Bernard drew a long breath in and then closed his eyes before continuing. When he opened his eyes, he had a solemn look on his face, which I found myself gulping.

Alpha Bernard said to me, "I know you, Gabriella, you are one of the most hardworking maids here at the Palace, you are a kind woman, and at least once, I have never felt or heard anything negative about you, but, even Javier told me what your plans are, I will give you a chance."

"In what you did tonight, I don't know if Javier's words that you are desperate to be his Luna or not are true or not, but I hope this will be the last," he added.

"I'll look the other way now that I've seen what you're capable of, how long you've been working at the Palace, and how certain I am that you won't leave. It is my sincere hope that you will learn from this experience and not make the same mistake again." he ended.

"But ..." When Prince Javier began speaking, I did not continue with what I had been saying.

"You heard what Dad said, Gabriella, so you can get out of our sight and don't destroy this important moment tonight." He said at me, his voice was cold and full of authority.

After a few moments, two warriors came up to me, grabbed my arm, and prompted me to start walking away from them in front of them. I simply kept staring at Prince Javier, even though he had already shifted his attention to the visitors, and now talking to Princess Amanda.

I've already gotten started on this, and I won't let the work that I've already done go to waste! Desperate? Yes, I am in a hopeless situation, and it doesn't matter to me what the other werewolves think of me! I am entitled to some things, and I will not squander the chance!

"Keep the good times rolling! Please forgive us for the minor misunderstanding, but rest assured that we will not waste this wonderful evening, so please enjoy yourself!" The announcement was made by Alpha Bernard to the guests, as I heard it.

I was dragged out of the hall by two of the warriors. After we exited the building, they released their grip on my arm and cautioned me against going back inside.

I had no choice but to walk to get back to our quarters. I had no choice but to concentrate on regaining my composure.

After entering our room, I immediately changed into my evening dress, after which, I laid down on the bed and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes when I heard the door open. I looked at the entrance and I saw Eury who was entering. As I sat up in bed, I noticed that she had a serious look on her face. After taking off her dress, she turned around to face me.

"What was the earlier occurrence, Gab? Give it to me straight!" Eury's question struck me as quite serious and insistent.

"Since we were so preoccupied in the kitchen, I could not see or hear what took place. It wasn't until they were escorting you out of the hall that I learned the news! They did not explain to us what had occurred earlier!" she explained to me.

I responded to her by telling her that I had already declared myself to be Prince Javier's, destined mate.

As I began to reveal the truth to Eury, her eyes grew increasingly wide.

"Are you Prince Javier's destined Mate?" She hesitantly asked me, and I could tell from the look on her face that she found it difficult to trust what I was saying.

I explained to her everything that took place from the very beginning when Prince Javier arrived in this area with the Bloodlust pack. She paid attention to what I had to say, and the expression of disbelief that I saw on her face increased with each word that I spoke.

When she asked me, "The night Prince Javier came back, he already claimed you?" I answered her question by nodding my head yes.

She continued her line of questioning by inquiring, "So, you got to the woods, since Prince Javier took you there, and something occurred to both of you?"

"And not just once, but twice!"

"Gab, please tell me that you are not simply making up a story, did you!?"

Because of what she said, I inclined my head slightly.

"Eury, you know me well enough to know that I am not good at lying, and moreover, what am I going to gain by lying? I just did not share that information with you since Prince Javier instructed me not to share it with anybody else." I had explained everything to her.

She came to the conclusion that "If what you say is true, then Princess Amanda is Prince Javier's chosen mate, and you are the destined partner!"

I responded to her by saying, "I've already told you what happened between me and Prince Javier, Eury."

"However, why does Prince Javier want Princess Amanda to take on the role of Luna?"

She was curious and was asking me questions.

"He told me that their wedding will help our Pack, and he also said to me that if he chooses me to become his Luna, nothing will happen because I'm an Omega and a wolf-less werewolf!" I shrugged my shoulders and said.

"In that case, what are your next steps going to be? What options do you have left if Prince Javier does not wish for you to be his Luna?" She proceeded to ask me some questions.

"Since you are an Omega and Princess Amanda is an Alpha's Daughter, what gives you the strength to have a battle with each other?"

I regarded her in a solemn manner "Eury, I promise that I won't give up no matter what occurs. I'll stop at nothing to ensure that Prince Javier chooses me to be his Luna." I could reassure her.

I was aware that it would be challenging for me to do the task, but I was obligated to make an effort because I had promised it to my parents.
